Since the server's down, have a video of the last war:

Great fun since both sides turned up in numbers.

Last WoW was 100 v 72.5.
To win on such a low percentage is a bit stupid.
Devils are too strong. Fact.
The starting % needs changing.
%s need a 2.5% tweak once a Conti changes hands.
100/72.5 was really close, so every WoW should start on that surely?

% system attunes itself to find balance, doesnt matter if 'devils are too strong', means they will keep winning until they aren't strong enough, or enough humans turn up.

seemed like a good % though this war, and good turnout

Devils are far too strong (excluding int now that ITF has gone) and should have non INT stats reduced I would agree. The reason devils keep winning is there has been an influx of devils and a number of prominent humans have left. In addition, multiple people have 150+ craft skill now so +5 weapons are becoming more commonplace which tips the balance further in the favour of devils.

Thats the percent system though?

If it has to be that devils are on 50% to balance the races in terms of strength, items, attendence, teamwork then wins should start alternating every few battles around that. A new balance point has to be found.

Maybe it used to be around 90%, but as you say devils have had an influx. The guild I'm part of is almost entirely new characters who started attending - we werent there two months ago, now we are mostly 90+ and with decent items and teamwork

A new balance in the % system has to be found. I liked this war because while I still get 3 hit by top human mages, I wasnt able to hit-4th-hit humans who arent even capped (like Meek, bless his little cotton socks), and when wearing int gear I took pretty noticable damage from melee humans. It meant we had protracted scraps that went back and forward, not just instakills.

Tl;dr - percent system is fine and needs to readjust to the relative.power and population of each race every so often.

Also there were more devil mages about that can take int hits while melee devils sneak up on them

I’m not sure how people can say that was fun or even. You had some big mages there last night who struggled to get kills. When Intheface played you knew that it was pointless to int him, but from last night it’s almoat pointless to int any other devil too. You guys talk about being 2 hit with magic and I didn’t see much of that last even with your low %. If this new patch ever comes out (here’s to hoping) it’ll only make things even worse for RVR at wotw.

Don't fault dsoma for turning up in numbers and fighting for conti

Go and round yourselves up and stop crying over spilt milk, there is always next time.

And humans are a joke anyway, you win conti and just leave it desolate for a week when us devils would be making full use of it

I dunno man. I completely see that it probably wasn't fun for you, and sorry for that.

In respect to human mages not doing damage: Tthere aren't many devils with more int than me, and in full md gear, Ganon was 3 hitting me with SS when I was unweakened. There are capped devils with 60 or more less int than me - they were getting ruined by mages. In fact, on Ganon's player feed you can see he had 18 kills at wotw, and 1 death (at the end, while protecting stones). Not really seeing a problem there.

New patch is going to utterly break WOTW in favour of humans. Devils are not going to spec into wisdom or int just to be better for 1 hour per week in RvR, it's all going into str/con/dex for GVW and dsoma pvp. Human melee are going to do less damage to them than now even, but human mages will probably be in instagib territory, hah.

Check out that list, some big names got rip there from both sides, for a minute also, I thought we had lost conti but luckily devs worked together to over throw you lot.

I got 1~2 hit with int... would be 1 hit if a proc happened same time..

I'm lvl 92+ and I've punched so I have 120ish int

Conti is your next war guaranteed

I think that with the new stat system humans won’t stand a chance, purely because we won’t be able to cast nor will we be able to stand more than 2 hits which even now we struggle to do anyway. I understand that in large groups some mages will obviously get a few hits away but with the amount of archers dsoma has they could let all hsoma archers fire away and target mages only.

I mean, it’ll never be perfect but I’m not sure what’s worse, huge gulfs between humans and devils with the new stats or more even like it is now but hsoma just lacks mages and numbers.

Are you dim that was 95% of hsomas population last night literally every man and his dog capable of fighting was there, I was getting 2 hit on a capped str char with high defense it was absolutely silly we'd group up and with in seconds you'd run in and wipe the floor with us It's fine when humans out number 3-4/1 but we had every man/woman and child there last night and we still got dwarfed, I love Wotw's, Gvw, pvp in general but it's not even worth the effort at wotw last week i went and was the only human running out to fight because everyone was demolished in seconds.

If wotw was fun for both sides then it would be brilliant, but I think the main issue is just that sometimes dsoma has an upswing in population/attendance, other times hsoma has it. Then the % has to re-adjust to the new 'normal'.

The new stats will be so much worse in both directions. Devils are gonna be brutally strong in melee and humans are gonna be more powerful in magic.
