I don't want to make this thread too long, since it's pretty obvious to ALL players anyway, so here I go.

How much % of the maps do we actually use?

I'll just talk about the Hsoma maps, Dsoma maps should be around the same anyway.

Merc:
Huge map. Some people may kill Trolls, some people may go for Evil Brics, and another few go for Raptors. I'd say we use about, 20% of the map. 80% is unused, and about 30% is covered with kobolds.. Such a waste of the map.

Abias:
Another HUGE map. What do we kill? Ehm, BLG, 2% of the map. Some Nightmares? Add another 8%. Do we kill anything else? No. Complete waste of space and possibilities.

TyT:
What do we hunt in this map? Bugs, Swamp Beasts ..... Anything else? No, not really. It's a beautiful map, and I guess this doesn't need any chances because it's the first map people go to. Nothing is too difficult.

VoD:
The one map that we actually use in Hsoma. The UGLIEST, DEGENERATE map in soma. It's so boring, most of us have spent years looking at this piece of shit. The worst thing is, we MUST go here to hunt for stuff. The good thing about this map is that it's actually sort of used. BLG, Mags, Nightmare, Palus, Shanis... Anyone still hunts Wraith and Licht Lords?

Dungeon:
Three floors of unused maps, except for DWs.

Conti:
It's not worth the risk of losing your upgraded gear so it doesn't even matter what mobs are there. No one wants to go there other than doing quests. It's a beautiful map. But wasted cus of the risk there is involved.

Castle:
No one goes here, period.

So what can we do about this? Most people playing this game have capped characters, and what can we hunt after we cap? About 3% of the mobs in game... Seems pretty low if you ask me. On busy days, Mags are unhuntable, I totally avoid that place. It's annoying enough as it is with the Whelps around, but melee classes CAN'T hunt there on weekends. They are int mobs, completely unfair to the melee class. I see int classes nuke them down 2-4 at the time.

We need similar mobs without high int (but low dmg from int attacks from people), but with high dex so that the melee classes can also hunt them. For all I care about you make Mags blue and call them smurfs.

Can we PLEASE play in different maps than VOD? For example: Cliffs west of Merc, unused, 30% of the map covered with kobolds. Have some BLG spawn, have another Mags spawn or whatever new mob you can create? I understand that programming a game isn't easy (surely not for me), but just creating a new spawn with mobs on certain locations shouldent be too hard.

Most of us live in caves and never see daylight anyway, could you please make some spawns near the beach in Merc, or around some trees and lakes in TyT or something so we still face a bit of reality. VOD is depressing.

This is something that should and can be done before the patch that probably never comes anyway. With all respect to the admins, but people have been talking about a "patch" for well over three years. Maybe bosses can also spawn a bit more frequently. Cut down spawn timers by 1/3rd maybe?

Theres is alot of crap mobs clutteeing the maps that could be used for other things

Hsoma dungeon is so underused, all the mobs in there should be boosted to be lvl 60+

We have IC thats only used for kha liz/apai and pp hunting

You are aware that RvR is now the same as a normal death ? You can revive and not drop any items

Start off top-right near the castle on fireworms, progress down to the bottom of the map for lake and cliff-side hoppers, bottom left for some Tarks, into the sprawling mid-right jungle for ABs, up to middle cliffs for EBs, - skip 15 levels in IC - back to top-left forest for WBM, before bottom middle for some hogs.

Dsoma IC is exactly how not to use a map: one KL spawn and one mag spawn - covering about 5% of the map. The rest is useless.

Would love to see the dungeon utilised, forcing players to learn ways around it. In Esoma it definitely felt like you progressed into a scarier place as you got stronger - the visual design, music (lol), and atmosphere let you KNOW you were above hunting mobs on the plains of Hwan.

i'd like to see all of the unused mobs getting a buff in stats/exp to make more hunting paths. could just copy the stats from a heavily used mob and copy them to similar level mobs they arent used. increase a few spawn counts and then you have plenty more mobs to hunt

Indeed, maybe ppl can suggest which mobs they would like to see buffed and to what

From a dsoma prospective

Id like to see warmess/hellion and warban uped to around evoled beast stats, maybe so the jump from EB to kha liz isnt so harsh, and the jump from kha liz to wbm (more so this aa you stay on wbm for a good 20 lvls )

We also have mongmen and earth elements in ic that would be good to hunt if they had a boost also

What mobs would people like to see mirrored?

i have a few ideas which ill post when im home

i think making Dungeon / Swamp in TYT more useful is needed badly

Kobolds / Scale raptors / Trolls / DW / Both shanis and war beast guardians could all do with a mirrored mob to break up the hunting paths

Wraith / Prismatic shadows and nightmare also could do with some more mobs to fill the gaps or mirrored
