They cant be that hard for melle.... Mr Zyar does fine with his sub 100 int also..... try killing them magus with a mage.. right pain in the ass ! |

Lol im just highlighting the differences. Not moaning not bitchin but discussing. Nothing will change but it's a discussion forum and beats arguing with each other over nothing. Discussions on forums are healthy they lead to patches... conti mags for example. This post has also voiced people's opinions that they belive mags shouldn't have the ability to stone.
Discussion is healthy and if you refer to my starting post I predicted someone would say make a mage. I don't expect change lol but you also shouldn't expect someone to make another level 100 just to farm more efficiently cause if that was the case the whole of dsoma.would be archers? Again I say it - discussion is healthy

ofc birdman ...my point is.. the fact mags are now a solo mob is a good thing... nice drops, and pros and cons whether mele or mage.. it might look like mages have it easy.... but i dont think the difference is huge. Most effective ppl at mags seem to be groups of 2 or 3 archers ..killing everythin with ease.
With a mage ( no bow) ..unless u kill the whelps b4 they see you.... the cast time needed for 1 appearing outta the blue.. means ur toast ..so pros and cons etc etc.... ''its good to talk'' ;p

Not even kidding, but if someone was like 'I want to be the strongest geared devil axe/sword/knux/mage in 6 months time' the best way of achieving that would be to make a devil archer and farm mags for 4 months before/while leveling the char you want and then never going mags on it, only the archer.

When I capped and realised what the end game was in this game, I understood why everyone roles archer.
Stone being removed from mags would balance it. |

I wouldnt say stone is the main issue
I understand there ment to be a group mob. But when 1 class can solo them and another struggles, then somthing could do with looking at My issue is the whelps and having to swop to a bow every min |

I don't farm mags because spamming f10 to get my bow out, kill the magus/whelp then put my axe back is honestly just too annoying. getting stoned and being unable to equip a bow to kill a whelp does take the piss i'll agree Couldn't we just put our bow/main weapon on our aura slots? to allow quick swapping without the inventory screen?

This Stone dosnt bother me, the other issue i find is the little healers, i either have to carry on with mag getting healed or move to kill the healer and get blasted by the mags magic in the process, my bow dosnt kill them anywhere near fast enough

"FRINGE"werent they introduced as being a group hunting mob tho This...Fin has ' tinkered' with them and got the difficulty spot on imo for hi levs to solo them if they want.. or go in party and get easy mode..but u have to share the spoils doin that.. so a bit of difficulty is good..else the whole server would be there if they were easy

Tbh, I am beyond being able to get frustrated about these mobs, I've died well over 500 times cus I got stoned. I am used to it now.. However... I agree that, this is extremely annoying. Removing the stone ability from them would help out the solo / melee classes a lot.
They may have been introduced as group mobs, but in reality, 9/10 people solo them. Therefor it's a reasonable request to remove that ability from Mags. Or, as requested before, introduce a NEW mob with high dex/str, but low int attacks and high int defence. Mags can be for the mages, and the NEW mob for melee. Seems like a decent way to balance the game.

Yeah, I think humans have a MUCH better spawn location for mags than devils, having said that - the barr from whelps and magus seem to more than play for the extra rezzies you use from whelps spawning in trees next to you. I'm more interested in if a blue poster can confirm the drop chances are slightly elevated or not?
