"CELTS""CCHRONER"Well the dsoma stats are being changed and that may hurt the player base as well, however you still went with the change. What's wrong with stopping people with trading gear which in my opinion is unfair because everyone should work hard to gear themselves up and not "lend" gear off others. This will also stop the conflict between people selling gear for irl money. Which again is a big benefit and also makes it fair for everyone else. Wouldn't worry about other players unless you can put the same amount of time into the game... or money as Lupi has pointed out.. should you wish to "choose" too.. Celts thought all games like soma are like this?.. if you you feel that get yourself to mags.. if you can't farm them then hurry up and cap.. So the players with all the best gear get even more gear and the players that are struggling get shat on ?[/quote]

Korean community excluded. As ghost says you need to look past and just get on with it, or leave to another game with exactly the same problem.

More highlighted here though because the community is tiny. I've moved to another f2p game any paid options are just part of the game they offer themselves.

Ive almost capped 4 characters without pilots or buying items. maybe ive been the fool...but in t n c's ..its says clearly all the property/ items beling to soma dev .. not the players...so buying items isnt allowed technically.. I appreciate the poliicng of this is a virtually impossible task for the gm's. However as someone who hasnt bought..... and played by the rules....and see more and more ppl buying stuff..getting maxed out gear when theyve barely played here 12 months..ppl this week offering me 40£ ish ..''as thats what they paid someone else'' for a +5 apus ..im finding this a major problem for my motivation to continue. I know its been happening... but seems rife and almost the norm now. Fails with upgrading the last 10-14 daysish..whatever..has put the icing on the cake for me...Some serious hours to get the 200 skill... and it doesnt seem to be making any noticeable difference with upgrades..while other ppl are buying stuff willy nilly. Im just takin a break.. wait for the patch/update and new items/ mobs/ stats etc should add another layer of interest. Atm farming stuff..failing upgrades...whilst watching other newer players obtain stuff by the easy way... just isnt cricket imo...and i aint playing that game As it stands...dan said he doesnt want this to be a pay to win game..... but turning a blind eye to that very thing which is happening. A lot of people told you ingame and on the forum it wasn’t worth the effort going to 200 skill.
People would just sell for lower than the Soma shop and you would be here complaining. Endless cycle and 3 people doing this as a hobby won’t be able to stop it without the player base just being you Lyon and a couple of Koreans.

My main point is.. pointless dan saying this isnt a pay to win game... while turning a blind eye to what looks increasingly look like nothing but a pay to win game. Whatever it is.... i would expect hours invested by crafting..or whatever u do in the game to see some rewards. If ppl blatantly buying things for cash....then it renders playing the game properly, a pointless exercise. And that needs some cleaning up..1 way or the other..imo

how can you be 100% sure that ppl have bought items for real cash ? have you seen a bank statement ? , PayPal payment ?
how does a GM prove that a item has been sold/bought ? am sure if a GM was 100% sure that someone profited from a game item, that they would take action and delete/bann said person/s cant realy be going round banning ppl for hearsay

when u was playing a lot ..and buying things...ie.with new +5 bwa .. better and improved every day ..you could have done more for soma by reporting who was selling and not been an ass urself. As it is.. you come on at intermittent occasions ..saying ul never play again.. its shit etc...but u, as one of the original buyers have contributed to the situation we are now in. tho ofc im too polite to say that

The thing you don’t get, is how many people would be banned for buying selling or piloting. There wouldn’t be a player base. They game would be dead. Do you seriously want 45 of the 50 active players banned? Have you even thought what effect that would have? People bought chars before I did, people bought items before I did. What use is reporting it? People reported me for buying style, isylver knew I bought style but he couldn’t prove it. I don’t think you get how hard it is to actually get proof and shut it down. Take 4 random high level chars who are all well known players. Flickthebean, Hurricane, Fujitora and Plum. Did they sell their items? Move them to a store? Give them away to friends? All you know are items moved from player A to player B, C and D. How can you prove what happened? Take another 4 chars Leo, Pikutin, Tyrone and Style. Have they been bought? Or did the owner just move to another game and want a friend to profit from their many hours levelling? How can you prove what has happened?

You clearly admit here to buying items and characters...so id expect a ban for you ofc ...but in general... no bans coz it cant be proven. I bought style before it was against the rules. The T & C’s didn’t get updated with rules against that kind of thing until a year or so in.
Scenario A) What would happen if you spent £100 on KE’s in the donation store and failed every upgrade? Chances are you would be here moaning you spent £££ and failed all on 200 skill. Scenario B) You spend £100 and make a few nice items but player B spends £2800 and makes the games best gear. Again I would hedge my bets thinking you would be here and complain again. The players buying items would just spend more money in the donation store that other players under your idea and it would change nothing? If people are willing to spend 1k, 2k, 3k when it is “illegal” they would spend the same or more if it was in a donation store and the same people would still own the best items?
