clean up the game a bit?

I agree with lupi open but only about the 200crsft skill. It needs better perks for upgrading. We all knew it only gives u an extra 2% chance per upgrade, but because lupi not having luck I think it needs looking at.

Lupi we all know people that have bought and sold items. Piloted/ botted/ cheated/ spent thousands on gear to become the best. But gms Can not prove it.

The point is... ppl admitting to buying/ aware of its existence.... and ppl waltzing around in maxed gear when they only been here 12 months....... makes a mockery of the ''this isnt a pay to win game''
I sugegst making things available in the donation store..so ppl dont have to go on the 'darkside' to buy stuff..... let every1 buy it or not..legally .... its just a joke atm...and yes.... some more perks for the crafting grind too..

It's a part of every game magnified only by how small the player base is here, grats on 200 i guess worth the time after all that.

"CCHRONER"One simple solution however 99% of the people may dislike this idea however if people want others to stop selling then make it once you equip an item, it is bound to you. Simple solution tbh

Edit: also stops people sharing which imo isn't fair either tbh

I actually like this idea ;)

That wont work... you wouldnt be able to xfer items to ur own characters..only crafters would be able to make upgraded stuff, leaving other ppl that dont craft stuffed.
The major problem i see... is ppl that ''buy'', no names mentioned..we all kno a few .... are doing it openly and reaping the benefits of maxed out gear.
So.. unless the gm's cant police it..which is difficult, as ''lawbreakers' arent likely to admit to it... it leaves the very sad situation...that as a legal player.. trying to do things by the book..... you're at a major disadvantage from the tossers that break the rules.
Only thing to address this imo...is get upgrade items in the donation store... then if the good guys wana buy stuff ..they can.
Only cheaters and scumbags are benefitting from the current system of putting your head in the sand and keep saying '' its not a pay to win game''..when clearly it is...and thats a sad place to be imo

I,d be happy to buy stuff from the donation store..but i aint lining the pockets of scumbags by buying on the blackmarket and breaking the t n c's ... This is what i dont understand most.. Its an opportunity for gms to make a lil xtra cash..and the same opportunities to all ..atm its jus ppl taking a chance and breaking the rules by paying on the darkside of the game...pfff... just doesnt make sense on any level

And..thats not opinion..sadly, its a fact

In other games they have account bound items. Seems pretty fair to me.

I'm probably going to get some hate but here is my opinion on all this. I'm not capped and have only been playing for 6 weeks after playing esoma way back. I have a couple of issues with this type of thread so here goes.

If the GMs spent all there time policing the game trawling through logs they would have no time for focusing on content updates and events etc. I am pretty sure more people would leave over lack of content updates than over someone having better gear than them. You could say maybe the gm team needs to expand but as far as I can see they are all doing a cracking job considering its a side project for all them. Don't forget without all there efforts none of us would have this classic game to enjoy at such a quality standard.

Adding more items to the donation shop is not a solution. It's perfect as it is. Convenience items don't hurt the game.

In my opinion the solution is this..... Enjoy the game for the journey that's what it's all about. Escaping the grind of reality to relax in the land of soma. If someone puts in 5000 hours or 500 and pays someone to help or buys better gear then PKs me or has better gear than me personally I'm not going to get triggered or salty. I'm just enjoying the positive side of the community. People sharing knowledge and helping each other and quality banter (shout out to mistress guild chat) I stuck around and finished con because of the helpful community and want to help newcomers do the same. Just enjoy your journey, don't get emotional about soma its just a game. Trust the GMs are working hard not only to add new content but also clamp down on people breaking the rules.

After all the hard work of the GMs we should all just trust that they have and plan and our doing the best for the game. From what I've seen with content updates and people breaking the rules getting banned I'd say they are doing great a pretty grand job.

The ideas and suggestions forum should be about that.... Ideas and suggestions not emotions.

Could make items soulbound when they become +5 ...so some swappin about earlier is possible...... and they aint worth big bucks on the blackmarket... so..once u equip a +5.... its urs for keeps. That sounds feasible

Tho as mentioned above..gms busy with update and more pressing things to do . No arguments there. Gm's have done and are doing a great job. It's some players that are abusing the game and takin the pee out of t n c's.
Analagy might be.... the FA say ur footie team has to have 1 goal keeper and 10 outfield players........
But some teams turn up with 5 at the back..5 in the middle and 5 at the front..and 3 goalies ..and the referee says to you.. sorry i cant do anything about it.. im just paid to referee the match..and that is whats happening with some 'players'
Anyway lets hope there's a fix ... and good luck to gms and all decent players with the update

Have to remember though it's A LOT easier to reach level 100 now compared to 3/4 years ago.
