Hsoma Int/mage concerns

I have two main concerns with mage/magic class and I think these need to urgently be addressed.

First - Auras
Melee classes are getting a big buff being able to use attack and defence aura and have 5 auras already!

Mage has 3, and all pretty useless as it currently stands.

1) Evasion needs to be buffed to 10/15%
2) Bring 4th aura from dsoma into hsoma
3) A new 5th aura could also maybe be added? Maybe like axe speed up a cast speed boost.

Second - drops from int mobs

Its been pretty clear from this server and how its panned out that drops on the mage side (frogs) are seriously under cooked vs melee counterparts. SD, ToW, CT should be added to drop files if possible.

I am not sure how that helps mage class balance everything up, but it needs to be looked at before the patch goes live.


I will continue testing and add to this, but honestly think mage could be broken in a bad way unless some of these are addressed.

3) could titus too please be made equal to the titus pads? 5-15 magic attack for untagged. Not restricted to just blue magic.

I don't know anything about hsoma, but if all the melee classes get a huge boost in dex, and all the armour and upgrades stay the same (assume the best people have max possible acc) - then seems like mages would cast less and less.

LIke a dsoma mage, you can literally be able to 1 hit a player, but if they have a training bow you will NEVER get a cast off without 4th. That aura might be too OP to give to humans but the changes in dex without anything for mages could be pretty tough.

RiP mages unless things change. Basically just keep using a bow to make the perfect character lol. Them soma flaws ;] there's going to be no diversity at cap raise. MachineGunBows with click lock + your best upgraded melee wep clones.

Main issue is mage is already a “weak” class, and it looks like a lot of inadvertent changes will increase the gap. Making auras a lot stronger, but mage still only having 3?

One thought I had is maybe look at having additional spell upgrades? Why stop at lvl 4?

Maybe use the same souls as required to earn 5th aura from bosses to make lvl 5 spells?

I remember Fin mentioning that he was looking at new level spells when he was on the test server. Not sure it's going to be soon, or only if for devil mages though.

Well we know there is a mass weaken spell.. Maybe they could introduce this? As Mass Weaken + Mass AOE damage spells does do big damage to groups.

Mass attacks don’t avoid guild members so you’ll be blasting friends with mass weaken ..

That would be a nice touch, no friendly fire in gvw, mass spells/auras don’t hit own guild

I dont think this should be done open, but what i do think is, titus helm/boots are a copy of hero but able to upgrade so its better. Maybe add a mages armour +5 int helm and +5 int boots so they can be upgraded. or something across those lines.

I do agree nightmares need tow,ct and small dia adding to the droplist.

there is already new armour tiers being added. if you check using armoury you can find them. which will make current weapons and armours obsolete for pvp but not for pve

Why shouldn't it hurri? Melle pads add attack no matter the weap why should the ma be restricted to just blue?
