Yeah, I am going to do a launcher update at some point and make it check if the dll and exe are writable before it applies the patch and display a message to tell you to close game first and then retry.
I also need to make some changes to server code so I can re-load the config for it at runtime so can change the game version without having to do a server reboot. Then client will tell you it is the wrong version when connecting.
