Just a thought (I might be way off mark with this one);

I think we all know that a lot of work is put in on content and, probably, Finito bears the brunt of the work for coding. When this work is done it is in response to ideas, suggestions and/or demands from the playing community.

I know the donation store exists to support the game .... but, in addition to that, what about a "pot" for each project?

The rationale is fairly simple; no one expects people to work for nothing and it is perfectly reasonable to ask people who want something to make a contribution towards it.

If a pot for (each) project has an amount stamped on it then the players would know that they were getting something and the people behind the work would know they are getting paid the amount they want/need.

Once the "project" pot is full, work commences ... win/win.

Reasonable?
