I have updated previous updates by repeatedly clicking it and sometimes watching it go up by 1% each time before it crashes and i have to re open. This time it seems to be stuck on 100% and crashing alot quicker. Anyone know a fix to this?

Just a few basic things to check for you...

Uninstall the game.
Reboot.
Re-install the game.
Reboot.
It should now auto patch fine (Has on mine using Win 8/WIn 7 and XP).

When you reinstall now it loads something *redist etc that you'll see as well.

Also make sure that you are using 16 bit and not 32 and run as administrator.
It also helps to run in 800 x 600 as most people seem to find that stable.

Goes without saying to make sure that any anti virus programme you may have makes an exception for Soma.

Other people who had an auto patch/crashing problem also deleted 'game.ver' from the Soma folder. The auto patcher puts back.
