Healing for INT. Method?

Author Content Date
"TYPHIN"tbh i think its something tht needs looked at.

GM's could sim the difference on a test server to see how much different it is for those mental enough to heal to 100 int and compare with a char who doesn't

its the devil punch situation, only its unresolved.

Just because you can't be bothered or are not mental enough to do it as you put, doesn't mean that it needs looking at. It's fine as it is.
You're quite right that not many will do this, so why is it a problem?
If you want to do it then feel free on a super noob. You're not being blocked from doing so.

Ofc what has been mentioned is right, it wont save that much % anyway, it's a lot of work for a little extra, but hey, if u wanna?
It does already have a cap in place of 100 Int I believe?

1. 100 int cap was asked for and i dont recall it actually being implemented so some receipts for that would be good
2. I and anyone else who wants to do the heal to 100 is actually handicapped since you used to be able to healing wind and get int fast. You can no longer get int gains through healing wind...
3. human based leveling is all about stat equality given the fixed amount of % to work with, the increased rate of gain for stats x2 for kills on str+50 mobs. to say that the % doesn't matter when you cannot even specifically tell me what that amounts to from experience is just naive.
4. if you think the difference is only 5% or some nonsense you need to get real. why would these folks spend hundreds of hours on 5% saved
5. Folks have gone back to blocking entrances during events in tyt with bug elfs etc without consequence to heal for hours if we are being real most likely if not assuredly afk
6. ive done con to 30 on multiple characters now, you cant tell me about what i can be bothered to do, ive just finished crafting to 130 and got sr(all) on another char. I put the time in. this instance is obsence

hence my suggestion to sim the difference as evidence to whether it is in fact an issue or not.

Healing Info:

MA affects gains. Max MA cap needed is spell power x10 and you cannot gain any faster than this.

Only need 1hp to be missing from target to gain full benefit of the MA of your heal. (over-heal principle)

Healing to 65int would save you approx 5% at level 95+, healing to 100 would save you 90-95% at the same level.

I tested with and without MA and cut 40minutes off per .1 at 65+.

A conversation with Virgil about healing lead me to test MA as he was gaining faster than me using some MA parts.

Further conversations with Qiang motivated me to do full testing.

So credit to those 2 due.

Hadou mentioned he had asked finito to confirm 100.0int cap from healing and got that confirmation. So I believe it is in place and not just a past idea that may/may not have been implemented.

"HOUNDEYE"Just had a thought. How is healing for int pointless? Heal to 65 using 0% of your 110 levels or hunt for int which will use up multiple levels to get to 65.

Because the exp needed for lvl 1-110 is a fixed total. lets just call it a million exp for example, say it takes 10k exp to reach 65 int and it would appear like loads of exp at low lvl however if you did the same mob at lvl 105 you prob go 10-130 int in a lvl etc.

Remember the % you gain is simply diviy'ing up hidden exp values mobs are worth and converting it into a % based on what the tnl of your lvl is. Say it takes 100 exp to reach lvl 2 and a bric is worth 10 exp you will get 10% per kill but if you was lvl 10 and it took 1000 exp you would get 1% however the total exp of whatever 1-110 is the amount for "65 int" is so small that its near irrelevant.

so the bottomline is , is it worth it to heal until int 100? I kinda suck at math so it would be appreciated if you can explain these in layma's term please ;(

Basically no :P the time frame involved is huge. At 74int it takes me around 1 hour and twenty mins per int sat there using pots. If I watch YouTube and don’t pot it takes wellover two and a half hours. Also there is a slow down every 5 int. so assuming you play 5 hours per day and do it while potting the entire time it’s likely to take well over 6months if not longer to reach 100.

I'll take all this into consideration. I'm still on the side that if time wasnt an issue, healing is still the best way to go. All the exp used on int could be used on str or dex...

Also, just gone to learn infernal arrow in conti because I don't have good morale for spirit sword yet... Why doesn't gwang teach it any more?

To give some perspective and add to flicks post.

65-80 int post lvl 100 is 12.4% xp

80-85 int is 11% xp

85-90 int is 16%

That equates to about 3 str or 1.5 Dex equivalent.

So while it makes a difference, it’s not game changing and unless you have perfect character ocd then there is no point really.

Don't forget that the 10 levels after 100 are slower also, meaning the difference would be smaller again.

So to conclude, healing is better if you can be arsed, but it's much easier and not too much difference if you hunt for it?

(Best to hunt for it after level 100? Or during normal levelling. Bearing in mind I'm talking as near to perfect stats at cap as possible.)

Its capped at 100 for healing so you have to hunt for it.
