Would like to Discuss a few things :)

Is the server in america? or was it moved back to the UK?. If it's in America It would explain why I click slower than I use to. If its in the UK then i looks like i cant click as fast as i could on the test server. I noticed because i cant spin around like fool anymore =/. Oh i also use to be able to change from peace to pk mode to peace really fast. seems theres a delay now.

I would like to discuss Leiver beast, Palus etc etc. Different spawns drop different items and weapons.

As Leiver Beast go. Top spawn drop axes/swords/knuckles etc.
Middle spawn drop bows/knuckles/axes/swords/spears
Trees spawn is same as Middle spawn.
Left spawn drops shields and other stuff.
oh and the crap weps that drop there for some reason. Its almost like a troll drop. Leiver Beast: "here you NITE a SILVER BOW!", ME: "yayyy i love this game." etc etc. I feel like the following items should not drop at Leiver beast.
Moon sword, Hard Club, Greattle Axe, Silver Bow ¬_¬, Spirit Cross bow, Knuckle of destruction, Golden armor, Blood armor. All the other wep drops are tolerable.

Theres always people at the middle and trees spawn because they want Apus bow drops. Because the mobs that drop this wep in vod are pretty strong. Saying that. Warmess drop Ruby spears quite often and that imo should be deleted. Its one of the top weps. Warmess are bad enough as they give stupid amounts of Moral :P.

Also. Palus are the same mob as Leiver beast but different drop file. And they too drop different items depending on what spawn you are hunting at. And theres too many spawns to know which spawn drops the best. But as i see it. Palus have really low % of dropping anything =/. Mages get 10 frogs a day at Prisms maybe even more. And theres the melee chars just getting nothing at Palus, Shanis, Warmess, Warban etc. I dont know about Akah or Apus or Devil Fish (only player i've ever seen at DF was style) because no one hunts them. And for good reason probably.

In short I think Drop files. All the need to be looked at. and balanced out.

In my opinion and maybe more people think like me too. Every mob (in this case palus or Leiver beast) should drop all the items listen in the armory, It shouldnt be a spawn unique item. It just cause pk wars etc etc.

"ISYLVER"Promoting player killing isn't something we'd want to do from a commercial stance. Arguably more players would do it and we'd get more "i'm being griefed/harrassed" complaints.

It might be worth writing a query to 'standardize' different mob spawns of the same mob more easily, as there's quite a lot of cases where this applies.

You could pretty much call me a "mage". As a mage you have pretty much 2-4 monsters to hunt your whole soma carrier...
Wraith to 60ish, LL to 65ish then moving on to Prismatic shadow. You can also jump directly from wraith to Prism depening on how busy wraith pit is because it's gonna be faster int than at LL.
Around 100 int you can switch to NM where you also will drop frogs and medium jades, pretty much the exact same drops as in Prismatic shadows.

As a strength char you can hunt different mobs where you can get upgrade mats, instead of just frogs. You can collect the best mage and str/dex weapons (non boss dropped) and you can collect diamonds needed for level 4 spells.
I do agree with your points while I think the focus should be giving mages some more choices to hunt.
I even think it would be cool to add some new monsters that you are forced to kite, but not able to really kill with str.

I'm guessing style was hunting DF to get some 5-10ish small diamonds per day:)?

Standardizing is all good, but I think balancing the content between str / int would be also a good thing to focus on.

Palus are not dropping all those juicy stuff because they are always available, who would even go to conti if all drops there also drop in VoD. The point of Conti is that you will hunt better drops but with a higher risk, also to give an incentive to win wotw in the first place.

I agree with you nite. Drop files need to be looked at. At the moment mages are getting more advantage over warriors, which the game should be balanced. Boss mobs have low int, high dex so they have 90% chance of getting drop. Mage mobs are dropping frogs more than ever, while strength mobs very rarely drop, and when they do drop, they drop like you say a silver bow.

Melee mobs have nicer dropfiles than mage mobs, hence why some spawns are bloated with junk.
Be realistic here, what nice loot can a mage obtain from magic monsters apart from Frogs?

These have brilliant dropfiles.

Let's compare end-game melee monster with end-game magic monster shall we?

You tell me what loot file is more attractive.

Now in regards to bosses, you may have a point - but there are magic bosses where mages hit for virtually nothing. The high dex factor was set as such because bosses were meant to be hunted down by large groups of people - this is the case because the boss' maximum HP limit is 32,000.

It's easier to increase a monster's dex and make a kill based on RNG than it is to increase its defence and make everyone but the strongest of the strong able to hurt it.

As that's not possible for magic (100% hit-rate) a lot of bosses have innately high magic defence.

I got 2 eggs, 2 eggpiles and a herb in one hunt from blg last night.
Miles better than one or two frogs.

Everything seems fine to me tbh, i think it is just a few people who are used to "easy mode" servers / test that have an issue...

Long term - Shouldn't be able to get the best best weap's without having to put up with the crap ones...

the only upgrade items mages can get are frogs, and they aint very valuable lol... so yes. melee has the advantage over drops easy

I agree about the End game mobs. And lets not take the wrong turn here, I was mainly stating that its a little pointless having different spawns drop different items, thats why you see people pkin for no reason because the spawn is too crowded.

To some extent you are right about the melee mobs having nicer drop files. But If you look at these drop files:

Melee
Warmess
Warban
Palus
Hoarde Shanis
Beast Lord Guardian

Mage
Wraith
Lich Lord
Prismatic shadows
Nightmare

So mages can get anything from ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS all which is very valuable. Clearly the mages benefit a whole lot more, and ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS are basically the currency in hsoma, No one needs barr nowadays, its all about the ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS . Because with ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS you can buy Diamonds or Rubies from players. Melee players in the other hand are all poor and most sell stuff for barr, so they get none of the good stuff until they reach BLG, by which point a mage is basically OP and Rich :P.

Also, the melee mobs drop loads of shit that you just face palm when you get it. Yes BLG have the best drop file by far but you need about 1000 hours + of pure melee to get there.

But my main point was about the mobs not dropping items because you are in the wrong spawn. As I said, If the armory says the mob drops the item, it should be dropable by the mob in the game. Or atleast tell you in the armory that only a few spawns drop the item. For example, only abias Nightmare drop Nightmare tops, Only the middle and trees spawn at Liever beast drop Apus's, and I have no idea about the palus spawns because theres so many. I know the one that most people hunt at drop Ring of Fighters, others don't.

Frogs seem to of lost a lot of their market value in the last month or two.

Evasion isn't nearly as desirable as accuracy since its been made virtually impossible to get 100% evasion on top mobs.

An although it's not unprecedented to get 10 frogs in one day its a bit of an exaggeration to suggest people regularly get 10 frogs everyday.

Speaking in days in such a wrong turn though. For one a day is 10 hours, for another it's one hour. Obviously those who take one hour won't be at Prisms yet, but you catch my drift.

When i had spare time, (2pm to 10 pm) i gained 3.5 ish int a day ( noob int) and only got 4/5 frogs, 6 max, depending on how many hours he put in that day could well get near 10 :p ( more like 8 tbh) ;p

"NITE"So mages can get anything from ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS all which is very valuable. Clearly the mages benefit a whole lot more, and ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS are basically the currency in hsoma, No one needs barr nowadays, its all about the ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS . Because with ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS you can buy Diamonds or Rubies from players. Melee players in the other hand are all poor and most sell stuff for barr, so they get none of the good stuff until they reach BLG, by which point a mage is basically OP and Rich :P


Go and hunt the Melee monsters that drop Rubies and Diamonds then...

You just said that people trade their ATS/DBS/SPS/FROGS for them...
Where do people get their gemstones if not from the Melee monsters?
