Improved key mob spawns.

This seems to be a problem for both races but with regards to hsoma, the amount of time spent at key mobs like BLG and Nightmares compared to the size of their spawns doesn't seem to fit. A lot people have come back to the game since the cap raise and others are leveling new chars, there's not enough mobs and plenty of useless ones with massive spawns.

For VoD:


Blue = Completely useless areas that are either empty or have a random assortment of mobs that no one actually hunts which should be utilised.
Red = Actual spawn areas for Nightmares and BLG.
Green = Where the spawns should be extended to.

For Abias:


Blue = Completely useless areas that are either empty or have a random assortment of mobs that no one actually hunts which should be utilised .
Red = Actual spawn areas for Nightmares and BLG.
Green = Where the spawns should be extended to.

For Abias NM spawn the problem is the area is huge but only about 10 nightmares spawn at a time, there are actually more stiges and swamp beasts for some reason. Utilise all the space and massively increase the spawn, along with completely removing the swamp beasts and stiges.

For Conti:


Slightly different key this time:
Red = Actual spawn areas for Nightmares and BLG.
Green = Where the spawns could be extended to, probably not needed if changes are made to VoD and Abias.
Purple = Where Elite Lizardmen are, the mess up every useful spawn in conti. Hunting BLG and worried devils coming through the portal and attacking you? That's irrelevant when no one hunts them because they're having their dura wasted by Lizardmen. Same goes for trying to lure them away from the Conti Nightmare spawn. Trying to hunt drazil as an alternative mob and maybe some bone drops, you can't do that either without wasting your time with Lizardmen.

Having to lure mobs away that waste % and give worse stats isn't fun, neither is going into freemode constantly to make sure you don't waste % only for the crap mobs you just killed to respawn 30 seconds later.

As it's double xp weekend and we have such a high user count
a QTY increase on abias nightmares
and a area radius increase in vod nightmares's would be very nice!
similar thing with blg would be cool too

i agree except with conti.

liz are decent alternative with higher dex as are drazil. they need to be separated and increased spawn

This is what I meant, just remove them from spawning near other mobs.

Just make it so a mob has unlimited hp and each time you take off its existing hp an item is randomly put in your bag with normal drop rate % ofc so we can leave it there perm. Also add a queue system for when items reach low dura so it auto changes to your 2nd pick and so on etc.

Jokes aside abias nm needs a tighter spawn and the pointless melee mobs removed, delete lizardmen in conti from the DB, blg should be 5 times the size with at least 300 individual units per map tightly packed in 60's

Boars is fine just need more sections of whats there so maybe 4 batches of what currently exists to give alt spawns and alleviate busy times.

Or just add a freemode blacklist page where you can tick a mobs name such as stige, sb, lizardman so it auto filters exp from those mobs

The illustrations pretty much summed up my thoughts about extending spawns.

There are just so many unused mobs now due to the fact that a melee character only has to hunt 6 out of the god knows how many mobs that are available.

Out of many of these unused mobs there isn't a dedicated spawn, which I do believe they should have their own spawn for those who want their drops or hell, even their stats.

I would really take the double exp weekend to be a real eye opener to how many people play the game, and how the spawns need to be adjusted to fit times like this. Mainly because ; spawns are packed every hour of the day during these events, people resort to mob stealing which causes harassment which is more unnecessary time spent banning people, it destroys the purpose of the double exp weekend as there are only so many mobs you can kill.

He hasn't he just spawned extra mobs that don't respawn once killed. That was the only quick fix he could do at the time.

Yeah, that was during the double xp weekend, I assume extending the spawns requires some fiddling in the database and a server reboot :/. So there wasn't anything he could really do about it.

Its good to hear that Sylver has noticed this problem though and is obviously looking into it so hopefully things will improve going forward.

My rant on the podcast regarding this was needed imo, I just want to make the game more open to people and fresh to hunt in new areas :)
