Removal Of Tree's in game

"GHOSTLORD"Mob skins changes, I can live with.
Deleting trees, annoys me.

I'll delete any guides about it from the forum. However I won't ban anyone for it (tree removing / skin changing) at this point.


Seems pretty clear to me. No clarification needed.

Im not into tech stuff.... but is that really ''LOL'' . or am i missing sumthin?

Personally im into the ''does a falling tree in the woods make a noise if no1 sees or hears it''
Also... pc game or not... do squirrels , birds, bugs and flies live in the trees even if we dont see them?

Unelss u can prove they dont.. leave the trees alone!

In terms of resolution look at it this way? Changing fov in cs... is in the options menu... removing walls from the map... you’ll get banned.

it's still editing your client to gain an advantage over people that don't know how to do it

I'm sure finito or isylver posted in the forum how to do it. If that can be changed legally without repercussion I don't see what's different about removing trees or changing spell colours etc. It's all in the same folder

Thats my point buddy. if you are allowed to change rez then why not remove trees

Everyone hates mobs hiding behind trees while farming away... But I think alot more should be added for the pvp side of things, they're great for setting up sneaky ganks or stones.

What about removing them from mob spawn spots but adding a lot more around maps, you'd start seeing more people chasing people from a spawn towards tree areas while men hide in wait ready for that gank.

The main problem with pvp in soma is everyone has the same run speed, 1man could easily make 8 people run around the map all day hopelesly trying to catch them.

Hard code them so people can't remove and Imo it would be a very good addition.

Thoughts?

Could he not just simply chuck it in the mix somewhere in the man folder and make it extremely hard to find/each update rename it or some shit?

Not everyone has to like pvp, but its a huge part of this game that the majority of players enjoy, regardless of liking it or not your still able to be pk'd (mobs not spawning under trees -
would make no difference to the 5% who don't pvp)

Removing trees may have the same process of changing a spell/skin but it has a very different outcome. It is done to gain a visual advantage in one form or another.

As for "hard coding" trees into the game - then they wouldn't be objects so would just be a flat layer onto the map so I would imagine you'd just walk over them instead.
