1
Author Content Date
Obviously if u leave town and hit a mob, u ruin ur rested xp gains and it goes back to start (think its 5% for first day)
someone told me its not just hitting a mob that does this, but leaving town altogether?
is this true? i refuse to believe this as no1 would go wotw or gvw surely?
hope i made sense
x

You gain 0.25% rested per hour up until 5% while in town or logged out in town. After 5% rested is accrued you gain 0.5% rested per hour up to 100%.

If you are on 15% rested you can go out and hunt until 5% then go back to town and you will still gain .5% an hour.

If you are on 6% rested and go and hit 1 mob and go back to town you will still gain 0.5% rested.

Leaving town doesn't affect it nor does hitting a monster as long as you stay above 5%. If you go down to 0 rested obviously will take 20 hours to get back to 5%.

Haven't checked the actual numbers myself, but this seems about right. (I always stay above 5% for maximum benefit)

Wait, so are we saying that 5% and above is the maximum rate? I heard that 25% is the number. Hmm.

If I log out about 10pm and relog around 645pm the following night I get roughly the following rested exp. Lets say for arguments sake 20 hours offline;

Start at 0% - come home to around 5%
Start at 5% - come home to around 15%

I have never had more than 10% per 20 hours logged out which backs up Neoxians figures

I have accumulated rested all the way until 60%, therefore, I do not believe it gets any better after 5%.

Has anyone done the calculations to see if its worth riding the rested exp and stopping at 5% as opposed to the time you could have hunted?

Probably not possible, this has to be entirely subject depending on available play time. As somebody who plays around 2-3 hours max a week night only rested exp is far more beneficial to me and I will always stop at 5%.

Usually at weekends I will not play more and use it all up and start the cycle again on Monday.

It's 0.5% per hour after the threshold, someone in our guild tested it

Level 80 with around 100/110 str and 95+ dex you'll never run out of rested exp if you play 10 hours a day (I think)

The limit is 12% a day (0.50% per hour) this is gained after you've got 5.0% rested.

5 hours offline = 0.50% rested
10 hours offline = 1.50% rested
15 hours offline = 3.00% rested
20 hours offline = 5.00% rested
25 hours offline = 7.50% rested

So after 5.00% you will be gaining 0.50% per hour, it does not reset when you leave town and hit a mob. So its more efficient to warp to town before losing all your rested exp.

If hunting 10% a day takes you under 4 hours you can do 10% every day and gain back the 10% rested for the 20 hours a day you're offline. This is enough to make most level 70+'s achieve level 100 by the end of this year.

Hope this helps people will their motivation to carry on levelling.

That's basically what I'm doing ^.^ (10% a day, takes me just over an hour)
