My point is more aimed at devil soma anyway where the option to pick up different weapons isn't available. Totally agree with jah on ruby comment. |

Range, feathers.. and you never ever get hit? I can't accept when people say "bow is fine" ... that just translates to me as "i don't actually want to fight" i just "want to have a guaranteed win" ... i think there should be a new TIER of weapons for EVERY WEAPON, and NO NEW BOWS! At least Intelligence/Mages can be stopped by them being hit.

It isn't per se. Hardly anyone has gone dex without also taking account of other attributes.

"Balance" is a matter of opinion and, in any event, why is "balance" fair? It's a game of war. Last time "balance" was introduced all the weapons got buffed except bow and that certainly DID detract from my experience - instead of feeling all "warm and fuzzy" I felt exceptionally pissed off. I know for a fact some others did too.
Archers sacrifice strength in lieu of dex. They also sacrifice some decent auras that other weapons have. It is by no means one sided.

maybe reduce accuracy / dmg from range at varying degree's would allow people to pvp from afar but do less dmg or come in closer to deal max damage

Higher lvls should start to reduce myth of bow, the higher the lvl the higher the possible dex. So we should start to see dex beasts Vs Pure tanks Vs pure Mages Vs Pure deeps. I believe Hsoma could take a step like dsoma where INT isnt MD as a 200/200 is slightly OP. A predominant Mage should have more MD than somebody who wants to hold an axe on stone imo. So a possible MD on staff scaling per lvl of staff is the only fix to that i can think of =D

Remove flinch from Bow only then it wont take 10 seconds to move 4 space to attack them, fast bows, high dex and flinch is just overkill ;o

Jac, you have to see my point?!
Using a bow in combat... with 50 feathers... all you need to do is lock on target, hit and use aura.. the feather and repeat. As a sword user, the above tactic means i never manage to close the distance to fight in open world pvp. It's not actually so much of a problem in GVW imo. But, seriously... you got to see the point of the anti-bow brigade! Range vs knux/spear/axe/bow is a massive advantage

Definitely should buff other weaps, make people actually think about changing. I know that banana sword was a joke but imagine a nice attack sword with 200 skill req. Only problem is people would just use bow and sword unless u make stinger over. 150 skill. People would actually start pvping properly in close range and would bring sword users back to life like the old days.

range of archer isnt really an issue. its the damage dealt over distance. with near 100% hit rate plus flinching of characters being hit so they are barely able to move while being hit
