Everything from monsters is just standard crap.. with hardened or rare on it ( which is only 0-1 or 1-1 better if your lucky ) Trolls dropping 5* swords which should be random dura up to 5k/chance to be speed B are dropping standard esoma which are terrible. Even the Devil's Guard is dropping standard esoma weapons.
Does that mean even leiver beasts are messed up aswell and only drop standard esoma 27-42 1900 dura apus bows lold. No more 5k+ dura weapons ever, this is just dumb. Sand crawlers dropping standard weapons when they're rare as *** aswell, no more speed C silver bows with high dura. Thoughts?

Mind your language. It's done a percentage so the higher the attack the higher the amount it will add on.

The pro of the old drops is that every drop is different, but only from those mobs that had it added. The new system allows us to get better items from any mob, so I'd say we're better off.

Regarding bizarre loot tables, I find it odd that the item drops from monsters in Dsoma are not in any way related to the appropriate level/difficulty of said monster.
What's with Ozles dropping BRONZE when they're tougher than Rotting Corpses? Why do Rebel Guards drop Charmed and Archmage when the guy has in excess of 90int and 100str (with 10k hp mind you). Why do Hellions drop Deceiver (27int mage) gear when they're after corpses melee-wise. Tarkhili warriors are on the same level as Altered Beasts in Hwan and they drop Spiked Boots... Minotaurs at 103str also drop spiked. Altered Beasts in HWAN at 107str drop Hardening (similar to Demonic, before Dread) yet require Dread to be hunted. Earth Elementals also dropping Deceiver (27int mage) gear yet is equivalent of Grass Hoppers. Devil Warriors in IC (One step up from EEs) are also dropping Deceiver (27int mage) gear. There is no logic with how the item tables are setup nor how loot is distributed level-wise. You'll be fighting Dread Scythes in Conti and getting Supreme (near end-game gear) Likewise, you'll be fighting Gargoyle Fighters (near end-game monster) and gaining low-mid tier armour (Demonic). Also there is no progression path for a mage to actually fight magic monsters, no choices in what to hunt compared to Hsoma yet we are blessed with maps that are much much larger. It goes from Necronis > Hwan Cyclope > Darian Shaman > Darian/Conti Cyclope > Elite Gargoyle Fighter > Gargoyle Shaman. However the gear progression and gaps in stat requirements to hunt said monsters is massive, it forces the mage to implore a hit and run tactic - added to the massive expense in leveling alone, leaves an annoying experience of having to make an alt character to farm Sgems just in order to afford hunting.

"GHOSTLORD"The pro of the old drops is that every drop is different, but only from those mobs that had it added. The new system allows us to get better items from any mob, so I'd say we're better off. But they're not better at all, you need to get atleast an intense staff of sky for it to be equal to the old -O tag. I think the % increase needs to be upped on the lower lvl weapons tbh cause atm you barely get any increase from anything other than intense which are really really rare lol.

On a Crystal Staff it would be quite a lot better. As for the weird DSoma drops - whole dsoma is build in a weird way. We're doing our best to make it better, and we welcome any ideas, just post them here (in the suggestion forum) or give me a pm ingame @ghostlord.

Thats why I suggested increasing the % increase on the lower lvl items so it actually effects them, scale the % increase so lower lvl items increase by a higher % than the high lvl items then they'd actually be on par with old -O tag weps.

The drops in terms of weapons are quite frustrating, having to pay for most things crafted, yeah I get thats part of the game but I agree with Zyzz.. the dropped weapons are literally rare as anything and when you do get something your like "OMG" then see the stats.. "oh.."

An extra 60 dura woo hoo. When its time to hunt leiver beasts and apus bows etc are dropping with bonus stats such as this its going to be extremely frustrating. |

Think zyzz has worded it a bit shit, basically just weapons that should be dropping decent are not dropping probably as intended? i got a gdg rare COD-M drop only has 1.2k dura and not the speed it would normally have. We have tested this a little and seems like all weapons are the same atm. Is this as intended and all weapons are going to be worse than soma or is this something thats maybe needing looked at?
Im hoping its not working as intended and possibly a little bug as lower weapons are decent. Being a warrior character already has a distinct disadvantage in the skill required for weapons to be equipped how ever i will be happy with any decision given. Any feedback giving is appreciated thanks for your time.

I'm quite suprised by the silver bow having exactly 1100 recoil (is that the normal base?). It should've been effected as far as I know. Same can be said for the damage, surely it should have 1-1 more at least?

As far as I understand there are different standards within the term hardened rare and the others. e.g my spiked tops both rare one has 11-18 the other 10-18.

I have a few bits of hardened.
They do differ from piece to piece, for example one has a recoil of 1000 another has a recoil of 980 Likewise with Defence on Armors different Stats 8-15 on one and 9-15 on another. |
