Or Google and find out what temp your CPU model thermal throttles at and if you're reaching/exceeding it. If fps drops are caused by thermal throttle, consider new cooler, or just reapplying thermal paste and making sure your cpu cooler is fitted correctly. I had this with issue when I played. New cooler with mid-range thermal paste application fixed it on previous PC. Soma is CPU heavy on single cores, so heat can get out of control. Can also check GPU temperature/google the thermal throttle point, see if that's an issue. Adding more case fans would probably resolve that one. - All this assuming you have a desktop, not a laptop. Laptop you could diagnose by same method, but hell if I know how you'd go about fixing it. Laptops are hopeless, #PC master-race. I use a 65 inch screen as my display...can't level without watching something myself so I hear ya.[/quote]
