Absolute fucking legend, with the great work ISYLVER and FINITO are doing, soma should be rocking some great user count and hopefully some brand new skins.
Keep this up please don't stop :P
GM's we need a new forum section for development, or atleast sticky this.

Cheers for the support guys ^__^ nice idea on robes Hogan =]

Here is progress on the Soma robes =]

It is still in progress and as such the top is still very basic, but I stole the skin for a naked body, the skins for KoD, and the shoulder pads / tiger pattern chest material from GM robes :P

I need to perfect the matching of the top to the pads and then shade / perfect edges and work at it a bit more so it looks more fitting.

Stealing parts from other items is really fast lol, made this top in approx. 10 minutes for all 4 frames in this pose.

Nah I will use modelling for new weapons and armour but the Soma set is easier to do using existing skins =] especially as the skins I need are already in the correct poses and the correct size :D

The scythe axe above is a model.

Modelling a weapon first and then rendering / exporting as a BMP to work from is by far the easiest method.

I may have also found a way ahead in recreating the character models also, it won't be 100% pefect but will be quite accurate and only require a small amount of extra editing to make weapons fit perfectly.

Watch this space :P

As for the Samurai armour, I am tempted just to purchase this fully working and rigged model, pose it and just create the BMP's that way:

It would save a huge amount of time.

Just messing round trying to match poses, the model looks a bit janky as I have rushed placing it, but I think this is doable as a plan.

Really good work Cho. You probably know this already but the stomach area of a male char is narrower than the rib cage, it also sits lower than the rib cage. Helps to give the 'manly' look and make armors like bone look really wide and dominating :)

Look forward to ya progress.

Scythe ingame appearance =] ty to Stoopidkid for being my modeller for the evening :P

The scythe blade is tilted towards the viewer, the blade is even longer when it is side on etc., as is the handle, as again, the weapon is orientated with the head towards the viewer.

Sorting the placement for a weapon with such a huge blade was troublesome but now I have cracked it =]

I want the blade to point over the shoulder towards the ground when walking, like Death :P
