New bow =]
A modified Apus, Apus Mk.2 you could say. I achieved this by editing the sprites for Apus, another method I have been toying with, which is actually a really fast process, full front animations too aprroximately 10 minutes to do, so maybe a day for all animations. I added two extra brances to the Apus upper section along with 2 spikes and a branch protruding from the lower section. Using this method I can redesign any of the sprites to whatever shape is desired, it doesn't have to stay similar to the original sprite. The sprite editing method may be the way forward, as it produces much cleaner, completely accurate and very easy to replicate results, which take hardly any time to implement. Using this method you could easily add horns to helmets etc, add decor, change overall designs, the sky is the limit. Also as there is already a base sprite, positioning is always perfect.

An example of how quick it is to modify skins, just went crazy with apus skin, don't take it seriously lol, I went a bit crazy with bright yellow as it stands out. It serves its purpose.
Also ignore the fact the bone armour is floating, that was a prior mistake which I need to rectify :P Same bow with more shading.

Much better =]
I found a really quick way of shading the sprites, I just grabbed a selection of existing shading in the pallet I wanted, in this case The Crushers grey tones and The Rippers reds =] then it was simply a case of copy and paste and playing a bit of tetris with the pixels :P! Since almost every colour variation is somewhere is the game that will speed the process up significantly.
