To make the initial babysitters / stones etc stronger, more... dramatic... and allows defending guilds to make a reasonable stand which in theory is vs rest of server.
Make GVW have a permanent NPC during event which a guildee can use to respawn stones until the outside area is completely overrun?

earn guild points to build defence turrets etc. can be melee / mage.
every guild member that participates starts to earn them and when u own gv u can spend them on defences at anytime while gvw is on |

they do a set % of damage too so they are equal for all levels of participants

That sounds good idea actually. Make gvw more tactical that way.
