Seems barr is close to useless for trading these days and most trades are done via upgrades/frogs/herbs etc.

I believe when upgrading an item it's 50/50 success rate? so I've heard I'm not exactly sure.

my idea is to implement a system where you can increase the chance of the upgrade working using barr say 1,000,000 to increase chance by say 3% up to a maximum of 15% so 5,000,000 for maximum chance of 65%.

the numbers could be tweked this is off the top of my head but would have to be hefty to bring barr back into play.

any thoughts on this?

Well, its an interesting idea.

You can buy things for barr, particularly from crafters, so there is that sink but the more sinks there are, the better.

Though for it to be placed on anvil is a tricky one. If you want more accessibility to upgrading items - probably a contested debate. For a small increase of maybe 1% at 3mil each upto a 3% improvement yes. But then would then see people with the great weapons being pretty annoyed at losing their 'edge' to more easier upgrades that other people can get.

That said, like any MMO, weapons and armors are replaced you become like anyone else at some point, repeatedly.

So yes could do it, would have to be just before a new 'release' or 'expansion' though to keep the high levels ok about it tho.

barr sink for consumable sr tokens. that you can right click while hunting to keep you there. would be amazing for convenience. at say 250k apc. so crafters can still sell at usual prices but if you want convenient and easy pay more

-1 to sr token.

I like many others have spent a lot of time being able to use all 3 srs. Why would it be fair to then open it up so people can buy them for less than the profit you make in a mag hunt

if it was 250k thats 2 mil to repair 8 things. which you could easily do.

but you could even make it 500k per making them only used rarely while hunting and other times people will still buy from all the crafters.

Still no.
To me it’s the principle

It’s like say a pure sword user able to use a psycho crossbow without putting the time on to skill it up

Not really. But its also not forward thinking. I see times when no1 is around selling sr and it ends up 5+ ppl sitting at whs that wont hunt as there main wep is on low dura. Perhaps limit it to 1 use per soma day? Not every1 can afford to donate. But there love for the game is the same

There are times when my sr's go to waste, maybe a solution could be to allow a crafter with sr's to covert any of there sr's into sr tokens. Maybe add an npc for a crafter to click on in tyt to convert them into sr tokens. This way both parties win, the crafter can sell these tokens, the players can stock them up to use when there in need.

This i agree with :)

As i put in another post, from my skill of 123 at the moment, it'll take me roughly another 15 hours stood at the anvil (not including running from loom to Wh or buying mats in abias) to get to 130 skill for x2 SR.

How would it be fair for the people that have put the time into working towards SR for people to just be able to buy Srs from a NCP for less profit than you would make in a Mag hunt?
