Npc which recycles already created items

Could we get something like that?

After new patch, im sure people found that many of their items isnt so good anymore or are not very desirable like before.

Its only an idea but could we get an NPC that retrieve us part of upgrades from already upgraded item?

we going to NPC with OTM+5, pay him something and we get back something from range of 2KE and OTM+5KE ?
What i meant is that we get back 2KE or 3KE or 4KE or 5KE or otm+2KE or otm+3ke or otm+4ke or otm+5ke?

or NPC breaks the item to get part of upgrades added to it

Making new gear is what is going to keep people in-game and playing, getting mats back from old upgraded stuff is just going to shorten the life span of this patch and then people will be asking for new stuff 6 months earlier

Could always just sell you're older stuff to people that doen't have +5 accessories

Of course I will eventually be attempting to make a new one, but an "old" +3/+4/+5 is still a massive upgrade for me, if you understand what i'm getting at

And agree with Alexisonfire

I love the changes to ct ke etc, it means everyone is at the same starting point.

Sure people have epic old gear, but as for the new stuff, no one has a leg up on anyone.

I agree that for the most part, you can just sell off your items, its what we all have to accept every now and again. I sold a +5 intense pike for just 1 DP and 5 LL (was bad recoil), knowing that on average it takes some 30 ToE to make a +5 in general. Still the item was garbage to me but was a real treasure to the guy I sold it too. I paid a fair bit more for that spear originally but that's deappreciation as +5s became more common. Still felt good going to someone that needed it.

That said though, I think there are probably certain 'unsellable' items out there where people wont pay the original matts for so I think there is an argument for just specific types of items being 'recycled' and would be interested to see what they are - as most requirements for them are so low, I'm sure can find a home :P

I actually like aibaar idea. +1. The market is quite bad atm. If you put 5kes on an item or 5 toes or 5 anything. Unless its a top intense item or a stinger no one is is offering what people think it's worth. I'd rather have that chance of gamble to get either nothing or all 5 upgrades and the item back. Maybe make it less chance than combine ( which is ruthless anyway). But on the other hand won't give lower levels a chance of an item worth something to them.

Ok k ow where aib is coming from as he is selling a+5 intense magic something. Prepatch yes it's worth a fortune and not many people can afford. Post patch, people can make double the item.

Selling the old generation items will help power the mid / new 100+'s into endgame too.

Win / win.

On another note I made my hero 1 warrior pads +4 int today haha :D! Was bricking it at the anvil.
