Negmare Drop System Feedback

Got my first kill today on the nega - the auto-warp out system is not good as it makes you miss your drops or it dropped 0 which is even worse. Needs working on. Sorry rant over.

Poor wizzy =[ There are so many people that are in there it can be a struggle to get in quickly i think you only have what is it 10 seconds to pickup drops?

Makes more sense to me that the person who gets the kill doesn't get kicked out of the room. That way there's none of the usual bullshit like at other bosses where people refuse to move even though they're ranged in-case they can't pick up drops.

Just needs fine tuning a little.

Negamare is hard work and totally and utterly isn't not soloable, even with 5 people, it really is at least 15 to make it doable? That's more than a most active guilds can put together - So it should reward well. Coupled with that everyone does near if not min damage, so should reflect that its a roulette to who will get the drop(s).

Changes

1) It should drop a minimum of 3 items from its loot list, maybe even 4
2) Current 2nd tier weapons should stay in the loot file but be restricted to Rare tag and above (lets be honest, there isn't many Epic+s about still in Hsoma - different for Dsoma probably though and that should be talked about seperately). Another mans trash is another mans treasure and all that.
3) Drops should be spread out from each other (so more people get - it is a team effort after all)
4) Person that gets last hit, should get 'an advantage' or be given a automatic drop in inventory - I agree but I don't think it should be all drops go to the last hit.

Great boss though with never seen before mechanics in Soma, that does work.

I like the warp out and having to run back in, it sucks for the person who gets the kill, but it will ultimately lead to more items being in many different peoples pockets.

Tbf it probably is a bad idea too warp you out because Soma clients always crashes when so many people appear at once at the same time .

Random loot should go into random people inventory tbh, it’s a group effort boss.

For example you could have someone with a super fast weapon just afk on the boss, get the last hit and reap the reward for 0 effort, whilst other people are running around killing the adds and attacking the crystals like intended who will never win the loot as they won’t actually be hitting the boss


Overall I love the new boss, the room is pretty, the music is epic and it’s a breath of fresh air to require some actual tactics to kill the boss.

My only complaint is that those doing the boss as intended won’t be the ones to receive the rewards.

Good post alex . What I really like and props to dan and Charles on this ...

A game this old and this is something brand new, across world participation in a race to spawn a boss that requires team work has taken a lot of effort.

I remember on esoma a gm got hacked and warped a few of us devs to tyt and it crashed the game.

Now we have a portal via a new boss Gorshak that now also is involved in spawning another new boss.

Let’s not moan about one bad luck drop and realise what the games become.

Maybe we can sort out the loot system better as a community but for now let’s not judge after what 6 bosses cross race ?

The community will never sort loot themselves :) people are just greedy, if a weapon dropped they couldn’t use it would just be sold to the highest bidder to which I wouldn’t blame them, even going as far to say as I would more than likely do it myself.

This is the reason a fair loot system if possible could/should be implemented.

Again, the amount of effort the GMs must have put in is awesome and everyone playing should be hugely grateful. It’s easy to find “faults” or criticism. But positive feedback should also be included so that the GMs don’t feel disheartened and decide not to implement new ideas and features.

The race is an awesome feature. The boss itself is awesome and an interesting concept. it’s just I can see people losing interest if they feel that they will never win the drops

Drops could be randomly dropped around the room, not just near the boss and not a last hit needed to pick up.
