The whole idea of this bow is to force devils to sacrifice stats to use. fortunately or unfortunatly most devils are to ignorant rather then using strategic logic to do this

For a devil to use this bow would condemn then in Pvp but in WoW humans would rage

I am struggling to see the reasoning behind this change and would appreciate a GM response incase I am missing something


+1 especially the part about ted and waga being stupid, encore has already left cause of these changes.

You never know, could get a big pile of wis to spend at cap...but as I've already said, if that's not the case, no one will bother with this as an archer...unless the wis req is dropped or attack raised significantly enough to drop our str...

But as Jah says, this would make us archers stronger vs humans...so it is perplexing whichever way it goes, as humans already moan about this.

We might also be forced to allocate more points to wis and have no choice in the matter as well, so that's a third option and would nerf archers in devil pvp but boost them at wotw...again that would be an odd decision but is a possibility.

We will see in time I guess!

humans dont have to do anything like this i dont seem to even understand why these weird requirements are even there ive used the same wep for how long and looks to be carrying on unless as some say loads of stats at cap to spend lol

That's what I was asking waga, didnt realise the wis was so far off while capping stats, thought it might have only been 5 or so, as everyone says, we will have to wait for first archer to cap,

I have a feeling at lvl 116 they will start forcing devs to add to wis instead of str tbh, then the bonus 5 stats will all be for wis also as they were at lvl 110.

Soooo.... If you get your hands on a nice +5 intense of the new bow, it could be worth dropping STR to use it (as you'll more or less do same damage, and gain MD from WIS). The only thing that might put you off is the fact that bows have increased recoil (not like archers need an RvR boost, anyway).

Apply this logic to all the other weapons (I think the new spears start at 1100, speed D?), and all I see is a set of weapons designed to boost RvR diversity, without compromising your PvP performance against your own race.

Or... you could drop other stats like CON and become an actual glass cannon (since you're trading Defense for Attack at that point)? Stat diversity is common on HSoma, and it's nice that it's being encouraged for us, too. Sure beats brainlessly smashing all points in STR/DEX/CON.

tl;dr If you want increased MD and not lose any attack, go for the new weapons (you might not get 1 shot by magic anymore). Also new weapons encourage stat point diversity.
