Up the success rate curve so that every 10 or so skill post 100 gives an upped chance of success.
Also ideally remove the grind at least up to 100 crafting skill and replace it with quests/drops that give +10 crafting skill e.g quest reward 'cookbook' +10 to cooking skill etc. Also do the same with con in h soma - until you remove these mega grinds nobody except old players will invest in this game imo.

Finito posted this awhile back which might improve things.
Upgrade system is the same as esoma it has not been changed it is RNG (pseudo random generator, though it is C's rand implementation which is not ideal at all, would prefer to use Mersenne Twister) with the % chance of success being based on the current upgrade level of the item (the +) and crafting skill (where applicable some upgrades don't need it and have set success % for each upgrade level).

yes..... ive stolen 3 x in 5 years.......
1. bradley asked me to craft him an intense dragon claw..about 4 years ago.... took me 5 days and about 5m of mats.... he 'rewarded' me with 1 frog... SO ..when he asked me to make some dps for him...... i think i made 3 outta 5..... and i STOLE 1 2. 4 years ago.... sylver/warre..whoever he is now...... when i was in his guild when i was new starter..told me..''u sell frogs to guildies for 30k'' so i let a few frogs go mega cheap....... then later..he asked me to up a epic apus....... i pretended it failed..and i kep it ..wooo badman me x 3. m5 ..asked me to craft some stingers a few weeks back...... his sidekick alphago was botting in the farm and nickin all the alts..... so.... i crafted some stingers....and nicked an intense,, ( 1st and only intense craft of the year ..which failed with the st toe ) .... So yes.... ive nicked 3 items in 5 years...... Thing is with mm ....in the 4-5 years.... he's asked me to drop everything im doing..and go the anvil to help him...and ive done that... never asked for anything in return..always had promises of big ''ty's'' ..but they never come.... 1 favour i ask..borro a bwa...yes np he said...u can have it till u capped.... he finds out i have a +6 pan...then demands i give it him if i want to keep using the bwa...... lol...salty? oh feckin yes ......he was one of the few ''mates'' i thought i had on here.... like a wife cheating on you....... disappointed..... and let down.. oh yes I hope thats enough detail x

I broke something like 40 tabs and literally got nothing.
Considering the amount of time to level, farm and craft... and we are talking months and months... to just lose it in a few minutes is a real killer. I know we all laugh and joke, saying that the game is hard and it's supposed to be, but I've personally had enough. Too hard, too much effort. The level of effort required is insane. I'm not coming back until the mechanics change. The game needs to be rewarding and enjoyable.
