Hsoma NEGAMARE

So first of all I wan't to give big props to everyone that was involved in making this new patch, 98% of it is good shit.

Now for Hsoma Negamare. We spent 1 hour and 30 mins (more or less) killing it, we would clear all the crystals and ads when they came up and after we'd all attack the boss, and we did this rinse and repeat for 1 hour and 30 mins.

On top of that we had 15+ level 110's on it meaning we had a really good turnout for the amount of players that are active at the moments (Judging that other people are playing other games that have just come out)

My point is that for Hsoma the boss is;

1 - Too hard
2 - Too time consuming for a very unrewarding drop (which only goes to one person in their 1 1/2 hours spend hitting a boss/crystals/ads
3 - It shouldn't drop Tier 2 weapons at all.

I think and I also believe that everyone in hsoma agrees that the Hsoma Negamare needs nerfing in some way or another. And for the crystals, we have no Idea what their purpose is (not even Dsoma do, and they've killed it the most).

Perhaps reducing Negamares HP and maybe making it clearer what the coloured crystals are for would balance Negamare. We know that the green ones spawn the ads, but red? pink? blue? no one knows.

No1 will have new weapons for atleast 1-2 years at this rate lol.

something needs to be done to negamare.

I think lowering its def / md but raising its hp would be a better option so every1 hurts it
From looking through the negamare deaths it appears the vast majority are from spear/sword and I'm guessing at these being 2nd/5th auras, maybe I'm wrong but that's how it appears to me

Nega is such a genious idea.....infact the best thing av ever seen in soma

Its just simply to hard and the drops are not good

like nite said 15 + good players working as a team for a rare BSB to be dropped that is worth what...2 ep?

I also thing the ads should drop smalls gems so atleast people who help out can still get something. a bit like the shak minions and it seems every small gem is worth something now

I would make it drop a minimim of 1 new wep and 1 new tab only, non of the 2nd tier stuff or confuse/proc stuff as they are common now.

It was great to rally all of active hsoma last night everyone working as a team,.I can see with a few simple tweaks this couldd really be something speical as the hard work is done with this.

I think you are all looking at it the wrong way. You can’t have a boss you could spawn 2-3 times every 24 hours beingkilled easily or dropping loads.

I went twice with Malycon leading, and he seemed to know what all the colours did, we had 25 people couple mages mass heal winding and killed in under an hour. Quicker than the original shak when it came out with less people.

You need more people. Not an easier boss. Which’s brings the real question and the elephant in the closet. Why did only 10% if DL, 1 player from NM, only a handful of Valiant ect return. I’ve seen a lot of people log in (myself included) give it a go, never really log back in after.

1~2 years deluded much flawless had a +5 sword straight away what 2 weeks after patch came out

Make it drop Tier 1 weps and tabs only, keep the mechanics hp etc the same. Make people work together otherwise it loses its purpose, atleast the reward will be worth it.

While were on it..Dsoma Negamare...
Firstly I believe hsoma neg could ?possibly? do with a slight drop in hp/def, hard to say, but again hsoma has such high usercount that i cant believe theres never enough people.
Dsoma on the other hand, does not have the usercount, even at the busiest times, so could defiantly do with a nerf.

That said^^
We dont want everything to come too easy, a drop would be nice, new weps everywhere would not, to soon.

I don't think anythings really that wrong with Negamare but Hsoma choose to, on release, to focus on Trolls and the race to the cap.

Hardly anyone joined me for the 2 weeks or so after it was released to do Negamare because of that and that the effort for crystals + the boss itself was felt to be too long.

I think the portal to IC/VoD should be in the middle of both 'home' towns though to make it all feel a bit nicer. Hsoma has a hell of a run from Abias Town. Exit portals can remain where they are. (below LL/KL).

^^^^^^ Would get more people going to it and more people joining in RvR ^^^^^^


If there is a problem with it - at all though, its with the minions that just deal too much damage and the number that spawn is too much for any 'raid' less than 7 people imho. As you just spend too long killing when you could be DPSing the boss, well that is if you don't get over run by the damage.

Both worlds could see a damage reduction from the minions and they should also be easier to kill. That way the boss dies quicker anyway.

Ideally it would be great to scale the minions and boss like in CTF - to a minimum set of stats for 5, to 8, to 12 and to 20+ players. But probably wishful thinking.

It should definitely be a PVP-FREE map and should also allow you PVP Pots or 'raid pots' that are free. Or as someone else said, a shop inside the edge of the map that can only be used once per 1 minute. Res scrolls should still be as they are so people don't take advantage.

Again, I think this was directed towards being a community boss... almost a free for all but it seems a bit confused? As though it really is for capped players... dex requirements to hit are quite high on devil soma anyway.

take off last hit gets loot for all bosses also. tht way everyone tht attends has a chance to click n get a bit

Before you start asking for the newest boss in soma to be made weaker in just over a months time since the new patch came out, how many lvl 120 hsoma players were at this hunt you did?

Isylver did say when patch came out humans aren't strong enough yet, so why not wait till some of you are lvl 120 before passing judgment on Negamare and see how 10/15 lvl 120's handle the boss then you can judge if still too tough or not.
