60-100 Levelling feedback - Human Soma - Feedback #4

From the feedback given, again collated the following.

So to put it in perspective, the game is at its best at Level 1-60, you progress quick, you get an assortment of drops, a lot useful, you can go almost any direction before your pushed to the Valley of Death. We're now on the decline where things become longer, harder, and if you follow the +50 stat track, ridiculously boring.

By now your able to farm to build your evasion gear or other gear, or giving you some financial clout to do some decent trades. You should have all four of your first class weapon auras and may have even started a second. Just think just as you get to BLG, people have and still are building evasion forgetting accuracy if they happen to need it.

1) Alternate / 'mirror' mobs of BLG and Nightmare. (I wont mention Hoarde Shanis atm).

You spend so long at both of these mobs and the monotony, even if you get lots of rubies or lots of frogs, stops a lot of people pushing forward. This is a time when the grind breaks people and makes them quit or retire (I did and many others did and will and some definately do not come back). Nightmares don't even have reasonable drops to compensate you. Think its a big part of the reason why not many people go that far into INT gains.

This is probably also when you could do with differing quests or something creative to help you break the grind up. Maybe this is where they could drop large weapon / armor caches?

I'd even suggest that Nightmare have a mob between them and Valk Shaman, there are no +5 weapon increases you can use here to benefit hunting speed, unlike melee training.

2) Make Palus more in line with the gains at Cyclone Shanis, as Palus are exceptionally rewarding in drops.
Palus - Probably the best mob of the entire 60-100 stack. Nice selection of items all of which do drop. Only complaint would be pure axe / spear struggles here by themselves and that you a optimally shouldnt be at Palus very long.

3) Boars - by this time, a player often has quit had several breaks in the game but they are so punishing for none optimal dex chars. If you dont have the 115 min dex for these, they are exceptionally hard. Again if you have messed up having more dex, youre going to be in a world of pain.

They already hit hard have high attack dex, I think it would be helpful if they had their axe and 5th knuck auras removed. They just need to not punish STR heavy chars so much (maybe a lower min damage?)

Again maybe an alternate version of Boars that are less dexy but more STR heavy to benefit the people on 170 str and 90-110 dex? Can have a different drop file... just would be nice to benefit other character builds.

4) Valk Shaman

(I dont have much comment about these) One player mentioned about increasing the drop rate of Valkirye Stud?.

Open to thoughts.

nightmares are without a doubt the most boring and tedious mob in soma and their drop file is very limited - except for froggies - which is the only drop that I bother to pick up on my noob

I dare say they are somewhat responsible for a lack of mages in the game and play their part with BLG in people drifting away from Soma.

I know you can stay at prisms longer now but just like nightmares the only drop worth picking up is the frogs. Maybe now exp is quicker you're not there for as long hours wise. I just wish there was an alternative so one day you can hunt nm with a chance of x drops and quests the next you could hunt "insertnewmagemob" with a chance of y drops and quest.

The thing with nightmares is that when the game is busy (especially Exp weekends etc.), anymore than 3 people at VOD is a waste of time because you're just running around trying to grab a free mob.

Abias isn't dense enough, but good for people introducing themselves to nightmares.

Conti is great for eyes, but again, not big enough for more than 2-3 people. Especially when running the extra risk of devils.

I personally didn't mind nightmares too much when trying to binge a box set, but an increased spawn site is a must and a chance of getting a CT/ToW would make the slog more bearable.

when busy, it pushed me to log off a lot.

I'd agree with valasi on the drops. Don't get me wrong for just starting nm's abias was on. Just random off screen hits every now and then. But when u drag yourself to vod at a higher int it's a run fest to find a loose 1. Especially for the likely hood of 1-2k - or a frog. Been watching black clover to try condence the laps time. Wouldn't have minded the possibility for a extra umph in the drops. I didn't do continue a great deal Purley for the lacking human side in conti and the more Dev ratio.

Not sure if anyone else finds it nearly the same @ valk Shanon's I can find 3 1 minute then find myself running around finding 1 more then next. Not sure if they have a large spawning area to some. But blg abias has a few in 1 place u could lure out a couple at a time.

Yeh D3 is also good, but was going to say that it shares the same problem when there are 3+ people. (2X 190int people is comfortable)

What is on its side is not many people INT to this level, so won't be having as much of a problem as nightmares.... I'd say that abias is almost a bit better in terms of area of spawn when it comes to multiple people being more spaced out when hunting - but not when you can kill them relatively quickly.

Although D3 has a spawn which is denser with more mobs, it's smaller and less able to have more people hunting there - unless you take people's mobs that have locked on.
