"JARAGOONDOO"Making % affect DEX is a bad idea. You're looking to target Archers/Knuckler's with something like that, but even at 60% a high level archer will have 100+ DEX. It'll be Axers who will be hit the hardest with something like that, rendering them completley useless. So instead, Humans should basically be forced to use 100% hit Auras and Magic only, because we can't even physically REACH the DEX required to hit DSoma characters in the first place? o.O You live on a strange planet. Yes, it will effect Axe/Sword/Spear users more than Knuckle/Bow users, but that's because they chose to use a Weapon that gave them less DEX -- a choice we on HSoma also have to make, although admittedly not to the same extreme as people on DSoma, but requiring far more time over-all. Consider that the "average" Human may have, say, 80-85 DEX (yes, some have higher, but they're not "average" players) and consider how long it takes them to get that. Then consider the "average" DSoma Axe user's DEX. Even on, say, 90% ((consider that Finito could make the DEX percentage different to that of the DAMAGE percentage,) that Axe User will have relatively similar DEX to the HSoma average, whilst still hitting slightly harder with slightly more defence -- but far more balanced than currently. I fail to see how that is a bad thing. I've heard from so many people "you shouldn't expect to 1v1 a Devil" -- well why not? Shouldn't the two games be balanced, at least when it comes to Conti, where we can meet and fight? o.O

Code to run like,
If devil > 60% ;Check class If axe > -60% str If archer/knuckle -60% dex. I'm not to sure what the problem is with wow but I know Fin can code anything. |

"BASIL"Code to run like, Or if he could do the DEX % to be different for classes, as above, then that would be even better, as he could fine-tune the balance way better.

The argument that it will hit other classes hard is a silly one.
85% of dsoma are archers, maybe more. Then a large % of what's left use knuckle. The damage I was taking seemed a reasonable %, don't know what damage I was putting out because I can't see and I could barely hit anything. Unless you just want the % to keep falling down, then you need to try and do something. At the moment we are forced to get kills via int only, and you all just wear robes. It's stupid. That in itself shoes you there is a problem.

Also, you say it's a numbers thing.
I actually thought that was a good turnout for hsoma. Dsoma has been getting a lot of love recently (yes it's much needed love ) and as a result the player base is boyant and high and lots have been returning. Hsoma, in no mercy anyway. A lot of players have left to play diablo. That was probably our maximum turn out. There was a lot more players than last week. Maybe close to double the amount. There was nobody I could see hunting or hiding in town. That was pretty much all of hsoma who was on. Just have to face facts that WotW ain't like gvw for us, and players won't spend a week offline to log on for it like they do gvw.

Great, this thread again. Humans lost because not enough of them turned up. Yet instead some of you just want to nerf devils down to the point to where your character that is 20+ levels lower wants to hit devils alot of the time for high damage.
People levelling their characters primarily with int and get annoyed that they miss with their blood bow? what a joke. How about you level a devil to level 70,80 or 90+ and then see how you like having a 3rd of your stats cut straight off? No? Then stop moaning you whinging, whining, grumbling, crying, whaling, sobbing, signing bunch of labia's. And for the humans that do turn up and make an effort even when outnumbered, you're the people that make wotw enjoyable, so thanks.

How could changing the Dex based on % work?
Taking an absolute from level 100 Axer and Archer, an Archer would have 200 Dex and an Axer would have 120. Let's say we reduce it by 40% for each during WotW. Archer will have 120, Axer will have 72. The Archer will still be unhittable yet the Axer won't be able to hit anything. Tolic said he targets mags as we're easier to hit. I have over 100 dex and can barely cast when he has his accuracy set on. The ONLY Devils with substantially more Dex than me are Knucklers and Archers, so to say Devils are unhittable is a fallacy.

You seem to be missing the point that 85%+ of people who turn up to wotw on the devil side, are unhittable.
If you char was made an hsoma char for the day, it would have the highest dex on hsoma Sorc. That about sums up what we are trying to say. Your attack and defense have been nerfed. But the biggest defensive stat is dex. Unless you wa all the warriors to stop going, and wotw to have less numbers/be even more of a "mage lets hide in the blue zone and only pop out twice in 45 minutes" then something needs to change. How many humans even bothered to go to the throne room? Maybe like 10 at one point. I know I was the last left alive in there. And it just seemed a bit of a wtf is going on moment. Nobody is asking for a divine right to win, an auto win button or anything like that. But devils and humans are unbalanced. Thats why a % is needed. Dex should be included somehow into the mix. If you guys just ran to throne room and put carnage, slayer and alucard on a stone right from the first minute, i doubt we would even be able to get on a stone. Only through luck we managed to find a stone with locoos on it.

Personally if I was fighting a primarily superior melee race without the ability to train int to a high standard I'd use magic and stop hitching. Know your enemy lady's your not meant to beat us in melee one on one that's why your int owns us.

Conversely, DSoma characters can target 1 person with... 1 person... then do the job better, faster, and easier, with whatever method they choose. (Usually Archers, 'cos 85% of you are Archers, lol.)

You can train Str and dex to take a hit humans are a mixed bag and like anything in life if you focus on one thing you are better at it. Humans were never intended to batter devils with melee everyone knows that it's laughable how these discussions still take place a decade later. If you want to go around beating people up with melee go to gvw or reroll a devil and yes your magic does wreak I can assure you of that.
The real solution is a new staff aura that allows 10seconds of clear casting on a 30 second cooldown.

"RELINA""TYRONE" I guess that explains why so many Devils die comparative to Humans during WotW, be it in 1 v 1 or all v all situations. ... wait. EDIT: The trouble with DSoma users is that they base their arguments using the AVERAGE DSoma Character vs the TOP-TIER HSoma character, and fail to understand why that's completely nonsensical when trying to discuss balance. That's why it's pointless trying to talk about this... ever... and why nothing ever changes. *Sigh* Big mouths that speak little sense.
