An Idea - Rested Questing

Hello!

I was going to put this into the ideas section of the forum but I don't really think enough people read that, so I have decided to put it in here instead.

"Rested Questing"

I don't know how many people are like me - they level and then they farm once capped, and unfortunately some quests get left behind and never completed. I would like to be able to go into a "quest mode" - ( /questmode ) that means I can complete quests and gain rested while doing so, as if I was in town. This would mean I could still use my character when I was was waiting for my rested to regenerate.

There are lots of benefits to this, namely that more people would be active in the world. It seems a shame to me that people log off their character or out of the game in order to gain rested, so they can level faster. If you implement this "quest mode" - ( /questmode ) it means we can still play.

I've thought of a few restrictions that I think will make the idea more palatable.

"quest mode" only works on quests that are -10 your level, and you cannot gain statistics, skill or morale
"quest mode" only gives a certain % of the possible rested, available from being in town - ( 50%~75% )
"quest mode" cannot be used to complete a daily quest
"quest mode" cannot be used for hero of soma quests - as this quest reward requires a sacrifice i think

I really think at the least this could and/or should be trialled. Imagine all the offline/inactive rested-builders online and questing. I'd do it, and I think that other people would too. As the quests are -10 of your level, then this will spread players from their normal hunting grounds, and see a lot more of the old game they loved when starting.

+1 good idea maybe no quest lvl restrictions so we can do all quests agreed on hero n stat moral skill part tho

I remember there's s /skillmode I think?

Sounds very similar, so that allows only skill to be gained, %/stats/moral are all halted if I remember right

this idea is to gain rested while questing so u don't have to log off in town to gain rested to lvl i.e to keep ppl logged in to game.

not to not waste exp % whn questing ofc this "new mode" u wont gain anything apart from rested.

I think you're asking for rested to be gained whilst in freemode.
As no xp or stats are gained, except for skill.. this seems a good idea.
Would encourage more questing, while waiting for rested.

This would also be great for lower levels (me) trying to collect essences for their hero armour but do not want to gain exp from the lower level mobs

I wonder if we could make it so unless you can gain stats from a mob you dont gain exp. Stops people forgetting freemode.

This would be a great addition as well as gaining rested whilst in freemode x

+10. I think this already happens in DSoma now? Maybe there's a way this could transfer over although I know there's differences in the stat systems.

This does happen in dsoma, was in effect before the stat change system too

ive gained almost 2 levels on lupi just farming alts and sbg's...not gained 1 stat ;/

sometimes rembered freemode..sometimes forgot...now... doesnt matter
