They are awful and by my guess, even an intense wont be worth the stat trade off.

The aim was for devils at 120 to have to give up a little bit (3/4 points) of str/con/dex to equip the item. If this is currently too much I'll need to look at the calcs we used.

It is quiet high.. I will happily give up some wis from con/str to wear a new weapon but not 21 point (for a spsear)
extra 10 should be max for at least spear,axe,sword.

Thanks for the response Isylver.
Firstly I'm glad there is a new teir of weapons, and that I'm first to have the bionic blow :D
Secondly, it looks awesome, personally I think it's the best looking new teir wep :P
Then there is the stats: Currently, they're not good enough.
The DMG is not enough, and the trade-off is too large, one or both of these NEEDS to change for these new weapons to be viable.
The respec I made has severely reduced the melee capability of my character to the point where Tarks hurt quite a bit whilst multiple are on me (I reduced con only for now).

I realise all of the new stuff is based on what Isylver & Co are trying to achieve with the server, PVP, PVE & RVR balancing and improvements, which we all know have come a long way, but also have a long way to go.

As a community I think we all need to put down all of our likes and dislikes in regards to the new content.
Isylver has done a fantastic job of tweaking neg to make it less... difficult (it was very hard and frustrating if you didn't have a TON of players).

Anyway, my view is:
-The weapons need to be better; less wis req/more dmg or both.
-If they aren't going to improve, they need to be much more obtainable, so we can get higher tags with combines (maybe make the kill neg quest repeatable, or the add mobs drop "neg shards" exchangeable for weps/items)
-On a side note:Could we make neg, and the area around its portal a pk free zone?
-Adjust the amount of spawned demons to the amount of users in the neg map?
-Clear the demons once neg is dead?

+1 everything jet has said
I believe the ads definitely and possibly nega (as cant see damage dont know) need their md dropping, mages do 20% the damage melee does even with weaken

Also one thing to keep in mind is they are designed to be lvl 120 weps jet which is why stuff now hurts you
It's just that classes outside mage can respec early on to get sooner BUT it probably does more damage than good below that point

Personally haven't been bothering with Neg as the stats you have to sacrifice to wear outdo the potential increase in attack, but even then we would need a top end intense to out better our current weps (and try to potentiate the loss of dex/con/str) and in reality how long would that take to get one to +5?

I do like the new weps and the concept behind them, but as already said, they need either their requirement lowering or attack increasing slightly...

Maybe look at the drops being a decent tag with every drop, say epic +?

Might sound like a tall ask but when most people killing it have a top end intense +5 the odd rare I think most will give up or not bother unless the tags are worthwhile, baring in mind the amount of barr you spend doing it...

The whole concept of negamare is really good, so it's only some tweaks on the actual weps/drop file needed imo.

More focus on non archers to...I think other classes shouldn't have to use as many of their stat points in order to equip the new weps. I know a mage doesn't and that's great.

Coming from an archer, more love to non archers is only a good thing, more class diversity can only make it more enjoyable/worthwhile for the dsoma community

Hmm capped knuck on Dsoma finishes with 120 Wisdom with str/dex/con maxed. So your probably looking at dropping 3 str 3 dex and 9 con to use it. Probably need to wait until I see an intense tag to check if its worth it.

It does look cool though.

Dropping 3-4 points off all the main stats seems reasonable (9-12 in total). Atm i think most classes need to drop much more than that. As exampled above spear needs to drop 21 and knux is dropping 15. A little adjustment to the WIS requirement will go a long way :P

It would be alot more interesting if dsoma wis (for melee class) = magic attack and magic defense
I would probably work on a magic proc set, allocate loads of points to wis and test out how that plays out in pvps
