Mage’s would still hit hard if every melee class had for instance 130 wis when capped, especially with the new proc’s and staff’s coming in. It would just be less ridiculous, then if that balances things a little more (I’m certain it would) mage’s would probably have a fair case for more con/dex - I wouldn’t think a lot but I’m sure with a little testing it could be figured out and I’m also sure many would volunteer to help/do their own testing to find proper balance.
I think the CTF slow aura could be a proc for new weapons too, you could have 3% stone proc, 3% CTF slow proc, 3% accuracy all that work at 1/2 range, mage staffs could instead of having a proc have 3% evasion or 3% 4th staff proc that could last half the duration of actual 4th or something. I think these sort of changes would get people excited about Dsoma again and wouldn’t be that hard to implement. Magic def buff pot would defo be good too.

There are only 3 active mages in game though, that's still less than other classes, same on hsoma due to every melee char being able to use machine gun bows

At GVW I understand that fully, in open world PVP people need to learn to play the class - clearly most aren’t very good at it and just revert to being an OP archer.
Also there aren’t many mage’s in game largely due to how bad levelling one is IMO, I can see why a lot quit because of that.

Funny to watch really since the feather change the archers that got too used to easy mode struggle and take ages to aim again after feathers lol |

"SAL3M"Reverse the MD range so axe has highest and bow has lowest - bow should be penalized in stats since dex is effectively 2 stats in one. I've always thought WIS should be reversed too. It makes no sense that the class with the most natural defence against magic (archers) also gets the highest MD. This then skews mages (and humans) view on the rest of the dsoma melee classes because archers, in their eyes (and most others tbh), are op. It was assumed by some that I was still lvl110ish and that I hadn't put the effort in to cap and had toilet gear... to me that says a lot about the prospects of spear in particular. The fact so many have replied with similar concerns surely highlights that something should be done to balance/buff most non-ranged dsoma classes. Small tweaks can go a long way and might liven up dsoma a bit.

How are devils supposed to hold there own with such minimal numbers, I was always under the assumption that's what dsoma was supposed to be in comparison to hsoma. At wotw there is a prevalance of archers as all humans are int/bow.... As soon as any class runs up to a human, human runs away and the devil that isn't a archer just get dropped by 3 humans. It's not till the last 10 minutes at wotw when everyone's in the throne room anything other then archers get really useful. Me and dr_evil are about the same level... I'm a archer he's a mage... He 3 shots me without proc going off and without weeken.

Devils are supposed to be op, look at the last few wotw?

why don't we all agree that the new dsoma stat system killed dsoma
everyone just ends up as clones at cap same stats etc its all about who has best armour on dsoma thats how i feel about it not sure on anyone else lol |

Back then the only way a chat was op was if they punched all the way. A dsoma archer punched generally 90-100 which I believe waga did and took forever!! |

Sh1vs I have some pretty OP gear (not all my own) and I question that I’d 3 hit you without weak, but it is also humans 95% devils 65% which has to be accounted for. I also assume you’re talking about in no MD robes?

D Soma is already a ghost town.
Ironically all the changes that killed it seem to have been done on the pretence of balancing RvR... Either fix D Soma or just scrap it and double map/skins for H Soma. |
