"DR_EVIL"Tbh as much as mage’s need a buff with bosses, that should be nowhere near the priority when mage levelling/drops etc are the way they are - I can live without bosses (although kind of annoying I’ll finish all my levelling before I even get a hard tag tier one weapon - which I could equip like 40 int ago or something) but almost no one will get that far anyway, myself included most probably.

Feeling is mutual, taking some time to return to Dark Souls 3 to enjoy the punishment, as I need a break from Wasps, levelling is too slow and drops are questionable at best (same access over and over, and a few tabs, and like 3 small rubies in approx 2 weeks) , so I decided to walk away a while, may have to do Wasps in a few day bursts every few weeks.

I am being very cautious with them, as I know how easy it is to burn yourself out of love with Soma at an unliked mob.

You'd think we'd be used to horrendous drops at mage mobs after NM prior to changes and Valks lol, but I feel it just gets worse to deal with, as faster stats at earlier stages mitigated the boredom.

Edit: I imagine the drop rates on items are the same as those at equivalent melee mobs, but it is likely the kill speed that causes a lack of drops perhaps, like farming for drops with a base speed bow?

Yea at the least I’ll be taking a break from levelling, it’s mind numbing at Wasps. Between the pretty poor drops and extremely slow XP I have zero motivation to do any more int.

I think it’s that and the fact we never get anything to trade, at boars you may get nothing for ages but know you have a chance at a tagged tier 2 weapon you can sell for a load of ups, at Wasps the best we can get is a dated staff that barely differs from tag to tag and is even less effective as skill bonus doesn’t apply to that maybe 2-2 gain at most lol.

I’d say the slow speed they die in comparison to people hunting with machine gun bows would be pretty big, but the upgrades are probably on a similar % to drop, so as 2/3 die before we kill one, yea it probably does have a fairly role to play in the disparity of drops between mage and melee mob’s.
