Black Hero armour, any thoughts?

Glad to see you’re back at it again Cho. Something Soma is really lacking in regards to progression is new amour/weapon skins.

Black hero is cool, really like it.

Changing armour colours was made fairly easy few years back with the Soma vision tool, however this only allows you to change the entire colour of an already made piece and you can’t customise specific parts of the armour like the trim mentioned earlier.

Would love to see an entire new set of armour and weps for a future level cap raise. I know how tedious this can be but we’re all appreciative of your work.

As choj knows once he’s recreated a fully animated 3G character working the sky’s the limit and knocking out brand new armours and weapons will be effortless but creating a character to mimic the full soma animations is tedious and is where the time is.

Hey guys sorry had a busy few days out of nowhere still working on the armour atmo and have been sorting 3d models out for weapons like I used for the Scythe weapon.

The 3d model for armour is still there, but matching the EXACT pose and angle for every frame of movement is something that will take months, I will keep at it bit by bit, but there are 526 movements to perfectly match for each part (legs, torso, head and arms).

If I could make new in game human models from scratch however that could make it easier, but then you have the issue of all armours being designed for the current models.

There is hope however, bare with me.

On the bright side, I have just been messing with Cinema 4d and have found a way to match weapon orientations and export as a BMP at the correct dimensions to use straight away.



Buster sword I know, but who doesn't want a fire and brimstone Buster sword!?

I have just had a massive breakthrough with making new weapons, turning the way I had been making them on its head.

I'll hopefully post a new weapon this evening, this should, all things considered, speed things up dramatically.

(It was a mix between utilising extra settings in C4D, and using specific layer settings in Photoshop to match orientation and have perfect colour throughout, removing any need to painstakingly remove all blurry pixels from downsizing the images).
