Is swift spirit a 0 skill upgrade like rdt?

Author Content Date
I vaguely remember swifts working without 100 skill when the esoma duping happened at the end. Can anyone confirm they have tried and had a working swift under 100 skill? Save me skilling up to 200 skill if its at 150 rates and all that.

Logic would say because it can go +8 it is a 0 skill but not absolutely certain.

Any item that goes to +8 doesn't require skill.

100% dont need skill to upgrade using an ss. Like hawkmoon said and you yourself thought. If it goes +8 skill has zero effect on both the ability to upgrade and the success of the upgrade.

Well that takes pressure off lol. A bit of a gimmick though when you think the main benefit of 200 skill is the increased rates for+6 and above yet all upgrades that are crafted stop at +5 where 150 skill is sufficient. From what i understand 0 skill upgrades use 150 skill band rates so having 200 skill wont help there either.

That doesn't make sense, to add toes you need skill?

I myself always thought you needed skill for SS because it is crafted and all crafted materials i.e KE, Toe etc require skill to upgrade.

It’s 100% correct SS is 0 skill.

That's pretty shit (The fact that once you have a wep past +5 it doesn't matter if you grinded for thousands of hours getting 200 skill that this has no effect on your % chance of success.

I assume if it requires 0 Skill it is using the same system as tabs RDT/DT for example based of 150 skill ?

To be honest that kinda makes sense to why people say its harder to get a wep to +5 than it is to get +8 (Which i suppose just shows by how many people already have +8 nega weps)

Either way needs changing imo

no it doesnt mean it needs to change stop whining for once it always been like that cause originally there was multiple ways to get Swift Spirits thru abyss mobs and a long quest but people have sort memory i guess.

Also because it doesnt require skill it doesnt mean it will be a sucess it can fail u know

Not everyone played esoma until the very end, I for one never saw the abyss.

Surely you agree that it is a bit shit to grind to 200 skill, Just to have a better success rate ONLY up until +5 ?

I suppose that settles the argument that 200 skill isn't really worth the negligible % increase from 150 to 200...

interesting to know, won't bother with 200 in that case
