"WOLF10"So.. u remove the +50... you , me and uncle tom cobbly have gained slightly betetr stats than by doing +30-50........ and u expect new players/ characters.. to play without the +50 bonus... come on ........ wtf

1) It was a suggestion, i highly doubt that will ever happen.
2) If it was to ever happen i'm sure the GM's would make it so that players players that did the +50 would not be at a disadvantage prior to the change.

But that is one of my suggestions in order to make the game friendly/easier to people who have never played soma before.

Fortunately i have a bit of time on my hands to play, But i know lots of people ingame who wished they had more time to play but physically can't, And if we can somehow make it easier for them so they are encouraged to keep playing for the benefit of the UC, Then it would be for the good of the game.

(BTW last paragraph is not aimed at removing +50)

a totally new player could do pretty well with a healer doing 30+ mobs.. would help if the dual clienting was easier..and a few guides/ tutorials on forum kinda thing.
Most ppl here kno all that stuff.. how to do it.. so if ppl put the efoort into doing higher mobs.. let it be imo..else we all gonna have the same stat mix of int/dex/str

Anyway..I'm sure Dan/Fin got it all under control.. lets not argue x

I believe Isylver has said in the past that the +50 route won't be removed due to the advantage previous players would have over new players, and is why there is no more stat bonuses from the mobs boars/trolls, shaman/wasp and any future mobs will just give normal rate stats, that being said if more mobs are to be introduced with any future cap rises then the maps are going to start getting crowded with different level of mobs on the wrong maps, i.e. There was a reason why each map had a level requirement to enter, so that you knew basically that stronger mobs are on this map and each new map had even stronger mobs than the last, but for the last 2 cap rises it's gone tits up. You have wasps roaming kobs if a new player was to venture round kobs to level on there gonna get a shock, same as entering abias from tyt portal the shaman are laying in way for a new player nearby. What next? Level rises to 130 and stick new mobs around dire wolf or in Orc forest?

I would reorganise the mobs on each map so that they are in line with the difficulty of each map and deal with the pointless drops from alot of the mobs already in game before anymore level rises, but if a level rise were to happen then it should be at a slow rate for levelling.

This server need a gm that is active ..... i got the point thats soma hard game but there is alot of stuff must be changed to keep ppl enjoying killing 10k mob anyquest to end you with 0 must be kind of joke . Gm log into game and he say "199" ppl online .. lol must be 100 of them chars to same players <--- np for me but we care about the game alot more than him always he busy why should i care do your job or find someone to do it .. logging to get donate stuff and running away aint any help for the game or giving us poor boss's like an event... adding some quests thats dont mean anything new .. can take you 3 mins to do it .wake up and do your job

Yes, Which is why it there should be more incentives for those who don't have the same amount of time as others do.

And the reason this should be done is because of the small community of soma with its peak UC of 200ish. If those players one day think to themselves hang on,, I can't put as much time in to level, i can't spend 10 hours a day farming - Why bother? Then if we just accept this then the game will never grow.

BTW i am not OP.


I get that, my point is though no matter what system gets put in place someone will always be playing catch up. Player A who plays 7 hours a day is most likely always going to be better than player B who plays 7 hours a week. How does player B keep up and compete with player A.

@yeoey the funny thing is it’s not my job - so show some appreciation. Both finito and i do this in our very small bit of spare time.

However, if you want to be like that you can take a break.

We do not know what the gms are doing in the background. They could be working on a new patch in any spare time they have and I do not think they are will be very appreciative of constantly being undermined on a game they keep active for free.

I am not saying i agree with how yeo said what he said but his point i.e we want more GM activity it something that everyone agrees on.

I personally dont think bans are the best thing now, after waking up and seeing the "moral" is our 50+ member whatsapp group after this ban this has a ripple effect on everyone.

Everyone does appreciate the server being run and what Dan and Finto have done for soma lets face it it would be dead without them and we all know this, but again there is nothing wrong with taking a little profit for your efforts. I dont think anyone would disagree with this. I have said all along have a donation target each month for doulbe drop/exp/patch raise/ updates etc. If we hit it, the game gets worked on. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I think the players just want more Active Gms to get dontaions off/ answer questions/ live events/ updates/ future cap raises etc, Wanting this does not make someone unappreciative of what GMs have done so far. If anything its a compliment as when the GMs are active the game is booming. i.e negamare patch/ double drops/exp/ weekend events etc.

I used to love logging in Saturday morning and seeing "Isylver online" in whatsapp or ingame then we all log in because we know whats coming!

I dont know if dictating some of these jobs is the answer, or automating some of these jobs etc, But like in anything in life where it involves a community a strong/active leader will always make the community thrive.

And you know what the exact same things happens in my gym, When i cant be fucked for a few months all my members moan like fuck beucase i am not there for whatever reason. At the end of the day all they want it for me to do more coaching, not that they hate me or dont appriciate me creating the gym. They just want to see me more when you filter through the snotty emails and passed on messages. Its the same thing just human nature.
