Donation store idea,

Right with my little sql experience why can’t this work....?

So when someone purchases something from the store they have to be logged in to a character, they click into pay ect and payment goes through, why can’t said character be giving a .event number (A event number is giving to characters so that npc can check if they have requirements for something) once payment goes through? Once the character logs into the game he goes to “x npc” clicks npc, npc checks for .event number, if character has .event number npc then gives character a gem. Then the character goes “y npc” clicks npc, this npc has the whole donation store in side. Everything costs 4.99 so there’s no issue with costs ect, one gem equals to one purchase.

I can’t see why this wouldn’t work, and without blowing up your trumpet you’re the man at SQL who’s ever done anything web based linked to server so intensively and working so well?

Just a idea feel free to shut me down if I’m talking nonsense.

No, you're not talking nonsense.

I feel like a lot of things, it isnt just about time but its also about 'good will' being spent.

Simplyfiying it more

Would be to have a npc ingame with all the donation items and then your just purchasing coin to spend ingame on the donation npc

This way if there automating it there only having to do 1 item and then the amount, and as long as there labeling it like a reward for donating ect then it shouldn't be against PayPal terms or needing a business account ect (end of the day there not exactly purchasing anything as its items in a game that officially they dont own the item

But its defently somthing they need to automate

I think the issue was a legality thing, rather then having a proper shop as it stands you're effectively donating to the server, and isylver is effecting just giving you free items

From what I remember the issue was they needed a business account to gain access to the API to automate transactions. To get a business account you need to have a registered address, there was some issues around that I think they was not prepared to use their personal ones?

However you can buy registered office addresses quite cheaply to be honest so wonder if they have thought about that? The cost will easily be offset with the increase in donations.
