"YOSHIMITSU"Surely the whole point in having axe/sword/knuckle is that they have more strength over archers, but the stats 187 posted at level 100 just makes other classes an unviable option at level 100 for pvp as even if an archer has 15 less strength then you they will still have a shit lot more dex then you Keep in mind that the dex cap at maximum is 214.7.. So as soon as archers hit this they won't be getting any more. Yes archers sound ideal now but in the long run they're not such a good investment.

Well that sounds great long term isylver, but if we have to go through a year of 'myth of bowma' then it's gonna get real old, real quick!!!

Then that's fine, seriously we've just implemented a change to give other classes a boost. How about trying that change for a while?
Perhaps wait for other dsoma classes to get to level 100. |

Ok I'm certainly Willing to wait and see. Whilst I have your attention m8 I got one more question. How do you feel about wbm? I find it strange that the only end game mob requires everyone to dual log a healer to be effective. Any future plans for an alternative option?

Only thing I hate about wbms is their overused skin. Would prefer a modified apus skin. As they use a ranged attack now.

Tbh from what ive seen from my gains DEX/CON/STR wise. The are hardcapped at 200.4/200.5/200.6. Since i didnt gain a single 0.1 extra on the lv ups after i hit 200.5.

I find it strange that the only end game mob requires everyone to dual log a healer to be effective. Any future plans for an alternative option? This is the same for any monster apart from apus/akah. It'd be unfair to change it now, but when the cap is raised it'd be a good idea to give monsters a ranged attack to stop healers

Personally I don't see much of a problem with WBM. They're unchanged compared to the test server + you can go KL untll 130 STR rather than staying conti AB till 110.

What Rambo means is that an archer can move onto WBM much sooner and take them easier at an earlier point in time. It can be easily rectified by reducing there aggro range, and possibly changing their attack to either magic or melee (not both), this makes a difference as an archer/knuckler can go into full diab much sooner because of dodge and because they have both melee and magic attack this is a massive bonus...change them to just one or the other and more classes would persist with the grind.
I still don't think archers need any further nerf, some things just need to be tweaked further to help other classes...i.e. allowing them to carry on gaining str past the soft cap, making wbm a bit easier for them to hunt etc.

Changing it so WBM only have a magic attack means everyone can wear Diab and we're all on an even footing hunting these monsters. Perhaps make their magic attack a bit stronger to compensate for the missing physical attack? A decrease in aggro range would help also, as currently archers can easily lure one at a time whereas other classes have difficulty (this really hampers leveling speed).

"ISYLVER"Then that's fine, seriously we've just implemented a change to give other classes a boost. How about trying that change for a while? I'm willing to wait as well. The problem is we are just speculating, so we need some clear confirmation from you. There are barely any active players left who are not Bow or Knux, so an idea what their stats will look like at level 100 may rekindle their motivation.

Also remember that Isy you added ranged melee to stop people bug exploiting wbm (correct me if I'm wrong, I remember this being added earlier on as untouchable was blocking himself in), I think you can remove the ranged melee now at least.... I remember back on esoma they had range 1 melee but ranged int attack, this is OK because they stand at range 2 when they are hitting you with int, thus meaning non ranged classes can tackle one mob at a time easier (as they don't have the melee from all the other wbm hitting at the same time).
Yes this would make things easier for archers, but it will reduce their advantage verses other classes. They are ridiculously hard even for an end game mob tbh, as an archer you only start to break even around lvl 88 in terms of barr/pots. I imagine for other classes they will only break even at around 92-94 without a healer...seems a bit extreme!

Those numbers would probably apply to me, only used a healer for one level since I started wbm if I decided to hunt again I'd still be making a loss even now without a healer. Actually had to borrow a mates mage char to make barr to hunt because back then KL didn't drop enough to fund the preparation for wbm so it was even harder but that's since been improved which is good.
