Ah, yes. Finito checked this again last weekend and it's fine.

Ghost, that doesn't really clarify anything mate, what does 'it's fine' mean? as that's very in-descript, is there a softcap at 200 or? based on 187s gains I would say there is.

Is there simply a slow at 200?

Ok im going to try and give this a crack so bare with me and correct me on anything that is not true, the cap for str is 215 (*ish) but its not the cap, the cap is only dictated by how much str the mob has, wbm having the highest str atm next because 187 hit a apparent slow down on str means that perhaps where archers were excelling at the start they may have issues in later gains in str such as a axer has trouble gaining dex etc but to repeat what has already been said its almost impossible to tell until more types of classes reach caps

Was about to say the same thing.

Clarification, please!

Makes sense;
(strongest monster atm) War Beast Miner 185 str (cap str 215)

So at 200 str you are squeezing the last out of the mob stats and would be slow.
During normal Dsoma leveling you would have left War Beast Miners around 155 str to a higher mob.

If for example (no one would do this)
You only lvl on Shironim toward the end
Shironim 242 str (would cap str 272) and prob not notice any slow at 200

Still doesn't make sense as gains should be 0.7x still until you are 30str above the mobs str, at which point it stops.

I've not tested but "read user comment" stating that;
+50 = ^1.3 * rate
+31~50?= 1.3 rate
+1~30=1.0 rate
0~-30= .7 rate

However from what I've seen as you over power mobs your stats slow increases toward end,
It does not stay at upper rate until you've capped the mob.

If a mob is 20 str over me and get 1 str at level
The next level I bet I get less but should be .7?

I think there is more to the math then that pretty sure there's a line from
best stats against a mob down to gaining .1's

Very simple. STR will increase after 200 as it will have done before 200.

There are factors you've not included.

Like the amount of % required to level up changes every few levels, making it look like the monster is giving you even more stats, when really, you just killed more of them.

Additionally, there are stat-slowdowns, so when you estimate you'll gain X amount of stats, but your gains are lower than expected, that doesn't mean the monster you're hunting is no longer good for you.

Prime example is when people start getting less than 1.0str/dex/con from Conti ABs, a few levels later, they are gaining 2.5+ from the very same monster.

Yes, you are right there are also the additional variables you point out, that I didn't in an effort to keep it shortish.
however until the Hard stop on STR stat that is supported by the version of 1p1 running Str cap is set by the monster you hunt ie 215 wbm and the level you can achieve.

To me from what ive seen its pretty simple. No gains after 200.6 for any stat(str/dex/con) unless this is class based ofc. Its not a slowdown it just stops. Like 0.0 gains on a lv up.

Clearly 187 isn't talking shit, so can someone please explain how he was gaining 0.0 on level up?

If it wasn't 50 hours of punching per level I would just power on, but I'm not wasting that many hours per level when it's uncertain whether I will gain anything when I hit 200.6.

But you didn't gain 0.0 on level up - did you?

Finito checked it recently and he tested it too. It works.

What were the gains like before hitting 200 187 ;o?

He gained 0.0 of dex and con for a couple of levels and str reduced massively from like 5.0 to 2.X if I remember rightly (this was from 99-100) so either way something isn't right, as you say str should carry on as it did before 200, after 200. At the very least for 187 he had his dex and con stop at 200.6 and str gains (if they didn't stop completely) slowed drastically.
