It's actually quite funny, because I remember when the server first came out knutsel and a few of his EQ cronies pulling them to vid net deliberately!
Anyway, is there a way we can change punishment Xp? I'll make an idea thread, but it should only start at the same time rested xp ends, lvl 50?

"MONTEL" I think it is quite reasonable that someone in 22 str gear has trouble getting into a lvl 35+ area (as a reference my lvl 24 - pure knuckle - has 35 STR/29 INT). Don't go into VoD under 40-50 STR and a considerable amount of HP. As for penalty XP I'm more willing to debate about it (though I can't dicide of course). I too wouldn't mind seeing ie 1.25% for the first death.

"GHOSTLORD" It's level 30 to get into vod isnt it? If it's to say "You're not strong enough to hunt here" then surely the level to get into vod should be raised? No matter what weapon you did to level 30, you're going to die by being surrounded by 8 DF. It happens to me numerous times now still when you warp in and you're surrounded. Everyone saying "Its how it is deal with it", you say that about everything on this server and nothing would ever get done.

i just used to fill up on stam and run in, if i died shit happens, revive and carry on if i died again once again revive, no res or anything but can see OP point specially with penalty now

Is the spawn worse than ESoma? I remember it being difficult the first few times but, really, it wasn't that bad.

Some spawns were increased on launch to try and encourage hunting area variety, I believe pit devil fish was one of those spawns.

OffTopic um didnt know there are ppl still obssesed with me and got bothered to make a lvl1 char with my Test Servers name. OnTopic It wont harm to reduce the amount of dfs that spawn in VoD's entrance,but i doubt they will bother do anything with them. 10feathers/20hp pots + your str/dex set its enough to pass em.

3 solutions
1)buy some resis so when u die u dont go into penalty.
2)buy some feather and feather as soon as you trough portal
3)carry some plus 100+ hp pots and out pot them (unless they 1 hit you)
everyone else had to deal with this previous to you and we didnt cry about it

Lure them away whenever you get in, next time / sometimes for days its clear if you did a good job of luring them. I do every time.
