"THEMAT"Having recently started playing properly again, the last 2 GVW's I've seen have seemed to be everyone VS EQ. That's true. I think it's mostly for two reasons: 1) EQ has won it the most times by far (24 vs 5 for NM) and people tend to prefer to support underdogs. 2) EQ is one of the most PK-active guilds, so a lot of people have issues with them. In my case there's also: 3) I happen to have more friends in NM than EQ and I want to support my friends.

Example - If plum is on the stone, why would firetrap attack no mercy? it just doesn't make sense to me.. as a neutral (which I am despite what some may think!) I wanna see as much stone rotation as possible to increase the slim chance of a member of my guild getting on the stone..
In short, if your guild is on the stone, your gonna get singled out.. I don't think there is anything wrong with this.. but will happily listen to opinions of those who don't :)

I mean I used to often watch gvw also attended a few, the ones I went to guilds were always healing and curing the stone holder dispite being in a totally different guild, that one gvw eq didn't attend was probably the most pathetic gvw I've ever seen with the majority just standing about doing fa until the very last minute.

I don't usually do anything at GVW i just stand and watch.
Based on the last two GVW's people will generally switch to attacking EQ even when they're not on the stone. For example if Iphios is on the stone with 5 minutes left, the majority(disregarding No Mercy obviously) will still attack EQ to stop them being able to focus on whoever's on the stone. I'm not sticking up for anyone here, just saying exactly what I've seen.

"IMCON" I think a neutral guild is just a guild that doesn't force its members to go one way or the other -- that doesn't mean that there aren't still a majority on No_Mercy's side or whatever. As above. I don't think you can really control your members even if you want to work for stone-turnover, and clearly, server-wide there are more people against EQ than helping them. But as I said, there are a few possible reasons for that.

Btw the pking of firetrap was nothing to do with Gvw, it was retaliation for the the firetrap members who come into vent and mouth off abuse then leave.

Coos and the rest of eq. You see a snippet of us slowing you and healing ourselves at gvw and all of a sudden we are allies with NM.
Just to clear up the scenario; Last gvw IPhios was on stone tanking pretty well. The south section of the stone was surrounded by eq. There were 4 FT members at last gvw. Our decided option was to take out eq healers and break thru the south section. Which we did. Me chunk and yosh were then next to stone with about 3 mins to go. Me and chunk both had less than 15 pots. We were healing ourselves and yosh was healing us. This was our only option available. There was zero healing of Iph. Our sole goal was to hope of a death and get on at last minute. FireTrap are a neutral guild. No alliances. You will see a pk against mi5 himself recently. However all in good spirits and the guy seems ok. Yes we may use gvw as a chance to target eq more than nm. This is because of the amount of grief we get outside war times. Nothing to do with alliances. If people didn't jump to conclusions and communicate you would understand all this. But we also understand the fact you enjoy the pking so we just accept it and move on.

"LORDCOOS"Not saying that but you can understand why people get pissed off when they're getting grief blinded/slowed/weakened by guilds which are supposed to be neutral. It's a guild village war, every guild wants to win. It's how they want to win it. More slowing, blind etc done to eq = More chance for other guilds. Simples.

Being neutral would imply they'd actually attack no mercy which they do not.[/quote]
