Cliffing Bosses

As it was stated a few days ago that cliffing bosses, or certainly Gorshak was illegal is there any way to stop it whilst a GM isn't on? Perhaps have the bosses randomly teleport to close coords or something constantly? That way it also changes up the spots for drops + the increase of grabbing drops increased a space or two, was good to see Yoshi get the drop from Dio to change it up from the usual drop grabbers tbh.

It was tanked by 1 person as is possible, takeshi's done it ask him for tips if ur having any issues

Anyway, lol. Not sure if possible but maybe a line of code that tells the boss to warp to someone hitting it? The idea being that it only does so if its not able to attack anyone whilst its being attacked itself, in essence stopping bosses being cliffed?

Would be amazing if cliffed bosses simply dropped nothing at all.

Code is there already to allow Guards to teleport to whoever is hitting it.

Just have Gorshak do the same thing.

If they haven't tried to attack someone in 3 seconds then allow them to teleport to the person who did damage last (within a certain distance ofc)

I like the idea of bosses randomly teleporting around a few spaces during the fight even if they're not on a cliff tbh, would add a fun dynamic to boring soma boss fights.

maybe if gorshak was given the ability to teleport every so often even if he is surrounded. will shake things up abit and also give other people chances to get the drops... maybe even teleport a short distance on death/near death

teleporting wouldnt work. Its unfair for the people that surround the mob. Definately wont work.

How would it be unfair? o_O

It'd make it more fair by giving more people the chance to be next to the boss, spreading out the burden of tanking damage and also giving more people a chance to get a drop.

"HURRICANO"teleporting wouldnt work. Its unfair for the people that surround the mob. Definately wont work.


Just the fact boss mobs are even able to be fully surrounded is silly enough. It's ggs if you show up and you've no ranged attacks and even then if you get last hit you aren't getting the drop anyway rofl.

Not if you can make it so it only teleports if it can't hit anyone thats currently attacking it.
