With the current changes and discussions happening amongst you all, Please could we the community request a Game Development Road Map. Even if its long and unsure at least its something we all know is in the pipeline to happen or hoping to happen
Most new upcoming games and games with updates/expansions scheduled for the future have a road map planned out so the users can see what is planned,

For anyone who doesn't understand what i mean. Info below:
SpoilerShow
A road map for a video game is essentially a map of planned progress.
Imagine a map on a road trip.
You have many large destinations and a few smaller destinations marked on your route, from point A to point B.
For video games, the destinations on the “map” are planned progress points, with large points being large updates or progress, and smaller points being smaller updates or progress.
All of the “stops” on a video game road map are progress points to the final product, whether it be a full release, the end of a development cycle, etc…

We will produce a road map as Fox mentioned, allowing a better understanding of upcoming content and agreed changes.

perfect :) look forward to seeing it, even if its unsure it can be edited and changed. but atleast people can have an idea. The 2 threads that have been created that everyone is discussing ideas in, is full of conflicting ideas etc. So i personally am lost at whats even happening. So at least everyone will now have an idea :)

Thanks again to everyone involved :)

Roadmap -

So what I can give people is basically what we've done so far as a group, individually and that we've setup 'goals' / assigned tasks. Its not really at all there as a 'big roadmap' as we're still organising and burning off excess excitement!

Chojine & I wanted to push on with the focus and gatepost of getting out some entirely new 'assets' for the Halloween event itself, thats new graphics, sounds and animations. On top of giving a Halloween event thats slightly different and reflects a slight change for the good. Thats all subject to the GM's being happy with it so we have to respect that some things may get "Pulled" last minute but they are in a private discord group and see what we are doing daily, so we hope that the chance so of things being pulled are reduced.

Our hope is to bring a renewed passion for the game that actually goes a long way to helping iSylver and Finito. At the same time bringing all its players closer to them.

We've no interest in getting access to the database or powers but just want to take control of the "community" aspect and make it "alive" and "something to be part off" like a community should be. That's something that can't just exist, it has to be cultured, created and nurtured.

So at a very practical level, its about the Halloween event, to see what our volunteer group can do, what GM's are happy to ingest/tweak/work with/add to. But also behind the scenes its about building trust between them and us to develop a relationship. It'll take time to get any degree of fluidity.

If you ask our maybe 'goal list' for the longer term it would look like this but please don't hold us to this :D

"Community Corner"
-Weekly news post from "the community team" on an update on our work, on a 'interview', on a 'concept' on a 'poll' 'on a ingame events'.
-Scheduled monthly GM participated / GM supported events which are offset from weeks to weekdays to let everyone join in
- A genuine start at the Human Soma narrative of "Soma" from the comic strip, including the legends of the lost swords - create a quest chain that begins at the Head of Town as it should. A long term arc.
- A genuine 'opposing' Devil Soma narrative of their attempts at capturing the character "Soma" and the swords powers, again lead by a Pandemonium based NPC. A long term story arc.
- "Current" quest chains that promote and lead up to bosses such as Gorshak, Negamare and maybe mini quest lines that take you to the Great Devil Guard. Some with some good amount of story and others less so.
- Maybe a Soma Radio stream where people can dictate "whats being played".

Before I get to the below list - its very much up to the community in essence.

Gameplay

Human Soma + Devil Soma

- Fix the huge advantage +50 training route gives characters - not to take the advantage away but to make it less dramatic. Also to make unused 'classic' areas useable again without coming at a cost.
- Make all weapons viable in their own ways in PVP (and PvE) and to create diversity in play (Could be new auras).
- Some thought towards how mages play against archer and one can completely lock out the other
- Look at the themes of when people "quit" and why and 'do something'
- Bring back some form of auction house
- Completely revisit drop files to make them 'relevent' but still maybe only give you 80% of what you actually want (you have to be left wanting, just a little - its the law!)
- Devil soma needs a lot of love and I'll take this moment to shamelessly and selfishly say "new town", "lots of new items" that will then allow "better drop rates" with "mobs having lots of new drop files".
- That and Devil soma probably needs two new weapon tiers beneath Grimbow and the Grimbow tier and Negamare tier getting whole new requirements.
- Some sort of Anti hero set.
- Fix the UI window for trading gems for armors to be a lot more intuitive now and if its done right you can carry that theme on in the game and maybe even make use of it in Human soma.
- The anvil...after this weeks discussions I think it maybe contentious a little longer but is being lookied at.
- Review of the stat allocation system for Devil Soma and the underlying problems with it (WIS strongest in archer? :( )
- Brand new CTF map with 'racial towns' and a middle like never seen before (Work already started prior to volunter group) and could be used as a staging ground for a lot of RP/Quest/PVP. Maybe part of a 'big patch'.
- Shake up of Continental Armies map so that losers do not lose access but keep 1/3 of the map to use with their maps. Winners get the other thirds. It being actively contested is better than one race not being able to use it all.
- Look at ways of making bosses 'taggable' depending on your damage contribution so you receive a token to exchange (because big boss events are not always fair, it happened in Esoma and here).

There's a lot more ideas out there we want to tell you about but I've been warned about giving too high expectations and its still early days.

On a final note, what happens is still very much down to the community, we're just setting up the stage to move forward and want everyone to be involved.
