Solution to stat bonus problem on Hsoma

Just a copy and paste of what i posted in a thread on the discussion hall.

The way to fix the +50 str problem whilst keeping the same leveling system is to manually edit every mob that has more than 60 str to come in line with the stats you would receive at blg at the equivalent str. And just to make sure you don't waste % once you cap str on a mob make it so you no longer gain exp.

I'll give an example of what i mean with palus and BLG

palus have 108 str therefore you cant make palus give +50 stat bonus until you cap them otherwise you would get to 139 str with this stat bonus which gives you a large advantage over what everyone else has already done on blg.

Therefore you need to change the palus stat bonus for all the blg slow downs. BLG slow downs are:
<91 x1.7
91- 111 x1.5
111-131 x1.3
131-151 x1.0
151-156 x0.8?
156-171 x0.5

So new palus modifiers need to be

<91 x1.7
91- 111 x1.5
111-131 x1.3
131-139 x1.0

Like i said though every mob over 60 str would need this which may be time consuming and +50str bonus until 91 str would be a nice quick fix until time is available to do this for each mob.

And of course the same goes for int, every mob that has a stat bonus overlapping with nm's would need modified.

Worth considering that doing this would mean people could lvl to 139 str on palus which is probably a bit high. Maybe lower the str cap for these mobs to +15 instead of +31 ?

+50 will only apply until 84 str (looking at making it 91 str) same for Int, after that the normal system is reverted to, as at that point you are normally looking towards shanis etc anyway. This was to stop that very situation occurring, and allows people to level at trolls / dw/ mess and warban etc before feeling obliged to move to shanis.

I like the idea you put forward though, I’ll speak to Fin as he ultimately decides the feasibility of changes.
