I know this should really be in the Ideas & Suggestions section but it seems basically everybody has disregarded that sub-forum as of late so i’ll follow suit.

I think that WoW should be changed to mirror SS style stone defence for pos as well as win/loss and ditch the blue safe zone.

I say this because when we get the numbers (as last night) SS is really fun because people are forced to stand and defend i.e fight as opposed to just constantly ducking in and out of the safe zone to get a random shot off.

I think the fact that there is no penalty for death (loss of pos) and i’m pretty sure no death on the feed (but feel free to correct me on that) also contributes to the fun as people are more willing to engage and risk a death.

Wouldn’t it be more fun if WoW was like this?

If you wanted to keep use of more of the castle map you could always add more stones to defend for extra rewards or whatever incentive.

Just a thought.

I feel the blue zone offers a nice chance for both races to loiter, bait and kill each other. The action takes place in the last 15 mins which can be frantic and good fun. SS usually has low numbers due to the very nature of its format (and the unbalanced sides) proving it's less popular.

For me it is unbalanced because humans don’t turn up - when they do it is pretty even.

You can see right now devils are actually on a higher % than humans you’ve won so many WoW in a row - if you turn out you are balanced, maybe even OP. Just that 1 human melee can’t tank devils but that isn’t your role.

The fact the frantic fun is in the last 15 mins makes the 45 mins before boring and redundant.

Whichever side has numbers just camps the safe zone and somebody runs out, hits, runs in, pot & repeat.

Totally disagree the safe zone part is boring, it’s just as fun as the last 15 minutes if you ask me - if you did away with it then wotw would just end up like GVW where people skip the first 45 or so mins of it most likely.

Always thought it would be good if everyone online is just instantly warped into the map with no safe zone and have it so u die 3 times your out same with gv make it much more interesting and anyone that isn't loged on at the start of wow can't join in

I'd like to see more hit and running in castle map and not just back to safe zone

For more PvP maybe moving safe area to castle courtyard would work, allowing people to warp to castle, then run in to the hall and have a battle contesting stones from the beginning.

And maybe if the safe zone disappeared when there was say 20 minutes remaining, people would then be forced to PvP when warping, trying to make it to the doors.

Would also encourage teams of players warping together, may see some nice tactics arise :D.

There was a post earlier suggesting if stones gave POS like SS at wotw, these 2 ideas coupled may draw people to wotw.

Really like all of these ideas personally - big improvement on my original suggestion.
