Be nice to see boss's only dropping top end gear epic/intense with a spd of A or B only 3 intense apus's have been in game all spd D and 2 broke going for +2 esp with anvils hunger for our goodies :p to be fair i have seen intense HOM's at D spd drop much better than normal F spd

Dont want server made easy just manageable, help them to help themselves attitude, bring bk t1 boss's :p

Soma's upgrade system is brutal and it's the way it is for a reason. People have +3/+4 gear as it is and the server is less then a year old, imagine if you up the drops rate or the upgrade %, people will be running around with +6 gear, no thanks. Everyone fails a lot of upgrades, it's how its meant to be

Broke 2 rare and 2 hardened stingers going to +3 and an epic stinger going to +1. Also failed a rare apus and hardened pike going to +4.
The amount of keen eyes I have failed as well is ridiculous.

Failed 100% of my keen eyes - gave up on them for now. Had really good luck with Eva and tows though ...

The items disappearing is good to be fixed, however I think the fail rates shouldn't be altered at all, they should fail a majority of the time more than they don't, means upgraded weapons uphold loads more value not only barr/item wise but I mean in PvP as well. Better when people have weaps and armor that stand out, not just everyone running around in epic items like communists or WoW players.

If fail rates are such a piss take for you, then instead of waisting (wasting) time hunting for items and failing, use the time to increase your crafting skill, to as much as possible or cap it. Otherwise if the fail rates are decreased at lower skills then this also dampens the importance or superiority of having maximum crafting skill.

Might as well do it with con as well if that's the case, make 20 con give 2 hp less than 30 con at end game.
Isn't con alot more appealing how it is at the moment though? With how much more 30 con provides than 20 con? Exactly, it's the same theory with the crafting skill and fail rates, if your 1-- or 112 or 117 skill in the cases I've read above should give you low fail rates then this completely invalidates the point of 200 crafting skill in any one area.

Thank you

"BRADC"...

You have no idea just how much time would need to be put in to get 200skill in a craft. The MONTHS of 14 hour days crafting make it unobtainable.

Also CON is LESS effective than before, not more so. - the difference now between 20CON and 30CON is 1hp per level.. instead of getting 3 gains throughout that time. (22,26,30) each provided 1hp more per lvl. Now it's 1.0CON = 0.1hp per level. 10 levels for 1hp per level. It has lost nearly all point in doing it, whereas before it was sort after as early as possible, now, for the hours and exp required to obtain 30 con, its junk.

I also believe that upgrade rates have been altered from normal rates on here, to break your items more often. Just from experience with it, not been confirmed. It was fine as it was before, at least you stood a chance. Weapons are far too hard to get to bother with higher speed upgrades. Soma upgrade system has always been to harsh and now seems to be even harsher. Most other games a fail would remove the previous upgrade or just not do anything, but to take the item away is unviable.

Agree with flick about obtaining weps.. I spent 2 weeks in conti not long a ago, playing quite a lot for me (about 4-6hrs/day) and didn't get a single tagged Apus. It makes me laugh when sylver talks about making conti desirable etc... It's so obvious many aren't bothered when you can hunt blg dev free for nice drops.
Boss only wep drops are a joke too IMO .. It only benefits the hardcore players.. I think soma needs some sort of raid system where guilds once a week can do like a dungeon raid hunt to get gear. Basiclly copying wow here :D
It would be a really cool weekly social event as well which would get everyone on vent etc be a good laugh and give hardcore / casual players the same chance of gearing.
It should be on a per guild session I think. And a guild has to meet a certain requirement to stop people just making loads of farm guilds.

@Flick @Brain =o

The way I see it, the real grind is/should be getting the stats/lvl's - to keep it much more appealing/fun for the casual's is frequent drop's from monster's and drastically increase drops on Conti( = more attendance at WotW.) Also Gorshak should never drop untagged items for the amount of effort put in to kill, Gorshak should drop only tagged(hardened to top end)

Have weapons til +3 not break and only take the upgrade if fail,(+1-+3) if you try go to +4 there's a chance your item could break or either make it so if it fails the item can downgrade one or two steps to +2/+1.

Hello hoarde mode. But this should be scalable with level etc and would make an awesome feature for high/med/low levels and casual players alike, i know a few players who only log for a few hours a week but i'm sure they would log for 1/2 nights a week if they could have a dungeon map like instance and/or hoarde mode where they could get weapons/tagged weapons.

It would be nice to see a quest like system implemented to allow tagged weapons to be obtained, even if they are less dura then the rest (Say 75% less). As at the moment tagged top tier weapons are almost impossible to get hold of.

I still don't agree with the upgrades though, weapons and upgrade should both be lost upon upgrade. Maybe if you're going for +3 it will go back to 0 but apart from that, the weapon should always break.
