Hello,

We wrote this as people were starting to feel there wasn't much information coming from GM's/VT back to the community. We hope to start doing this regularly.

It isn't on the home page of the website and won't be a forum sticky as GM's don't want to be seen committing to everything or leading to disappointment (let alone the pressure of all these things). It's purely to give people insight and show a direction of things even if in the short term for now.

I'll just copy the last main paragraph as a reminder.


P.S The plan section isn’t to be taken too literally, there can be any number of reasons why any or all of these things may not happen, be it someone’s time, or the practicality of how the game works. Or simply GM’s saying “no”. The hope is, if we bring you regular updates, you’ll see which things are moving and which aren’t and new things too as well

Cheers for the update Fox, was an interesting read to see what you guys are looking to develop for the future.

Ye love reading it

All id say if a planned update falls though just put that its been pit on back burner for time being

We dont need dates, or eta tbf, just knowing whats been talked about can make abit of noise

The updates of late have been amazing

Thanks for the update, shame that the new map hasn't found a place yet, maybe some concrete ideas for it will spur the GMs into finding a use for it?

Am I missing something obvious, or while waiting, could we not have some particles to collect so we can make use of the q'master?

10th Feb 2020: The King is concerned about how powerful Nega is becoming and needs people to take actions to keep him under control. He is going to reward those who help gain access to Nega's lair!

Thanks for the update Fox.

First of all, I love the fact that there is discussions and active work planning to happen.

Are we just going to tweak/boost the 2 most used chars and leaving the rest behind? yes I know there is a note about looking at them later but it feels like any change that for example gives mages extra defence /speed/ survivability needs to take into consideration other classes that isn’t just an archer.. esp for dsoma.

All this feather + proc hit bs needs changing a lot more than couple of mages getting butt hurt cus they cant dominate in GVW.. during pk vid, you can see a good mage can take on and kill multiple opponents/archers so unsure why a boost is needed.

I’m not against giving them a boost on defence/speed but I hope it’s done in a smart way and not just taking into consideration a 1v1 scenario...

imo give mages a 30second magic shield spell... give warriors (spear, axe, etc a 30 second rage) and give all classes an aura where you can pull your enemy towards you in a pk and stun them for 3seconds... at least that way it gives other melee classes a chance to catch and hit their enemy... or just leave it as it is as the road you guys seem to be heading will make it archer vs mage only game

Review some of legend of mir spells and how mages and melee are dealt there and you will defo have some amazing ideas to implement

Simply this from me. We want the same as you Dare. All weapon types to have a part to play in the game. Our talk about mage is an effort to normalise them, not make them more powerful. And something like a dex cap or a change to how dex works in the game to make bow not the 'must have' weapon and dex not the 'must have' stat its been etc.

I couldn't stand levelling bow and tried several times and ended up currently with a unuseful character if I wanted to pvp. I tried making another character pure bow or at least dexy but its pretty boring. We all know it needs to change and we all should be going back to swinging Viking swords at riders like old old times :p Just choosing how to get back there.

feather needs to stop casting of spells aswell as click lock

I’m confused why giving more utilities and tools would normalise them.

They can keep casting when feathering yet get click lock’s removed... no mage should complain again

You mean on the receiving end?
It's only the same as someone using an aura and it follows down to timing of it being fired, mage just takes longer to release its shot
Why is mage the only class NOT to have any form of click lock anyway????
Hsoma weps need a hard cap on recoil per each class, yes some people will get nerfed weps slightly but it's for the good of the game and it's not the first time it has happened (eg the dsoma armours that got deleted when people had upgraded gear using them that they just lost)

You cant just continue casting while feathering, it breaks your cast unless very well timed in late cast period

And while people get hung up on click locks, mage are the only class that dont have one

I'm not being clear, WIIZEN0H - sorry.

If you adjust the recoil of 'spells', the damage would be proportionately have to be adjusted to compensate for that change, then reduce damage further - only at same time as you make changes to bow/dex. Then you give mages a different role to play with, to tie in a new dimension of grouping/teaming using spells/buffs.

Its all a way off anyway and still somewhat vague. We want to keep up the positivity and gradual changes and keep lifting the UC and take people away from mindless farming or toxicity. We'll get to things like this, just takes time, theres a whole game that needs a face lift.

I have just been and tested this for myself it’s easy as hell to time right click n f1 strait away n i feathered 3 times before the cast went of (all of 1 right click) on a few.

It’s not the same as an aura... I’m shore most ppl would like a way to give out hits n STOP all atts coming in then start to add mages are the only ones who can 1bangs.

Tho I do agree mages should have click lock to.

Moveing and casting tho is a click lock in itself if you are able to give out 1 bangs tbh.

Tbh I would have different chars if I had realised this before lol🤦‍♂️

@fox yea I get what your trying to do but feels little bit like mountain out of mole hill n at same time the other 3 or 4 classes are just left👋

Sorry we disagree but it would be silly to do anything with sword/spear and axe right now. And I say that as someone that gets mowed down in pvp as spear :p
