Anyone know at what point it is ok for str to be more than 10 over dex?

Just with dex slow down`s it is hard to keep it under 10 now.

10 is very low! You can go 20 and it's not a problem!

It's always "ok" but it depends on what overall dex you want to end up with, preferably i'de obtain that dex before deciding to do mainly str, but as always, personal preference.

As I understand it, it doesn't matter if your dex is 10 and STR is 100, what matters is your STR and the mobs STR. Try to keep your STR no more than 10 above the mob's STR for good gains. After 10 it gets less effecient and then after 30 even more. I sometimes stay past 10 if a mob is just easy to hunt but it snot the best way.

I think this explains why at trolls in esoma 64 str seemed like a slowdown but its because frost trolls are 54 str.

Now the point about dex is that if you let it stay too low then you cant go to a low lvl mob and get easy dex, you HAVE to hunt a mob within 10 str to get good gains, so keeping your dex close as possible is best. Also, if you can keep your str as low as possible that means you get the most out of low lvl mobs since str is slower you're sharing your xp with dex by using a dex weapon. This all means mobs are easier to hunt and give their benefits for longer.

There is no set amount of str you can go above your dex.
dr3ad no offence but you don't really know what your on about.

It's all relative to the mobs str vs your str.

e.g BLG have 140 str
the mob slow downs are -50 -30 -10 can't remember the rest.
before I hit 90 str I was getting dex in 2.15%
after 90 str I got dex in 2.6%

Baring in mind that dex slow down is double at 90 and 95 its definitely worth keeping your str near your dex (ideally below 110str!!!) to make getting 100dex+ slightly easier.

well on the test server i had 1 char at 140+ str and 115 ish dex and another char on 110 str and 130 dex

the char with 130 dex was gaining dex faster than the char with dex 115 dex, so i believe the gap between str and dex does matter

my dex was 22 below my str @ around 85 str, now I have 93 str and its around 10 below. easy to gain back dex if u hunt the right mobs. I think I know what I'm on about.

It is easy, but the maths behind it proves its quicker and more efficient to get 100 dex while under 110 str ;o
