Pve wise, Is it worth it to get more than 167str , the str required for axe of oblivion, as the less str you have, the faster the exp goes.

Not strictly true, just some lower mobs return faster xp so you have to nerf your str to stay at them
At the cost of anything good in terms of drops too

Okay, but i was told than i hunt mobs that have 30str more i get better exp, so that's not true?
Is it just mobs than have 30str less that i don't get any exp anymore?

For dsoma it's purely hunt whatever is fastest, some lower mobs give more exp than higher ones, and having 30str more than them obviously maximises your damage dealt, killing them quicker and gaining that xp faster
As soon as you're 31 str more than the mob you done gain xp
