Couple of ingame Problems and Potentail solutions

This will probly be a long thread so if your not interested Hit the back button :)

None of this is meant as moaning because the server is really awesome on player count is great. But there's a couple Of problems in game the defiantly need addressing in one way or another.

First of all The so called Multi problem i decided not to post on the other thread because its that post is just out of hand. Suggestions that wont work to a problem that carnt really be avoided. Multing will happen on soma it is just the way it is, so rather than trying to punish the multis i believe the somadev team has the right idea of making things 'more apealing for everyone else'. Here is a couple of ideas which could level the plain fields....

1> theres only 1 Giuld village, and multis will sooner or later dominate it. So why can we not have more than 1 Giuld village? Where each guild can only own 1 at a time. Lets say we put 5 Guild villages in game each village has its own advantages for owning.

GV1 might have say 5 ll for sale after each win but make the rewards for each GV slightly worse on a sliding scale to the last GV it doesn't solve the multi problem but it does give normal players an alternate to the one available event of worth. If each guild can only have 1 guild village it will give something for the rest of us to strive for. no to mention the fun of a war been available alot more often. Just make it so if you own gv1 with best rewards you can not take part in gvw 2 or less but if you own gv5 you can go for a better gv say gv 3 etc etc

a large part of this game is the fun of the gvw. with only 1 gvw in game the multis will always win. and only a once a week event is a long time to wait. more gvw just seams like a good compromise to entertain everyone

2> Make alliances viable, Let giulds win GVW's with allainces. You can allready ally giulds with char, why not let an allaince share a giuld village if one of them manages to win? that way smaller giulds can band together to compete

3> Rested Xp system, ive done a U turn on this. After much testing atm its barely worth been in game. i understand that it gets better n better higher level you get but it doesnt seam to be enough to help normal players catch up tbh. maybe rather than 5% for 12 hours offline make it 10% (numbers are just examples i dunno figures)

4> Some kind of incentive system for guild wars.. have 2 guilds even warred yet? no? well why would they? its a pointless system. this system needs replacing. i would love to see a proper guild war system. LEts say is costs 300k to declare war on your enemy for 2 hours where you can pk your enemy guild with no moral loss (full loot on stats loss like a normal death) If a Giuld leader is killing winning guild get 100k of the other guilds bar(should be easy enough with auto imputing a bet upon starting a war

Why people let multis bother them so much is becasue the gvw is most of the game, its the only worth while on fun event ingame. And with a fast rate server normal players simply can not compete with multis. We need something more to do than a once week hopeless fight for the giuld village. people will get board and quit. we need more. And its just not practical to punish the multis... so why not reward the rest of us with a few alternates?

Competitive PvP will always be shit until the multi problem has been dealt with.

Proper alliances will just cause one to take over the server. Like what happens with guilds on small servers. I'd be all for this if the number of guild members per guild was lowered.

Rested exp is crap, I agree. If anything it puts people who start later at a disadvantage. 5% to a lvl 20 is bothing, 5% to a lvl 60 might last an hour? % based rested bonus doesn't work in this situation quite simply, they only work on modern games because the time to level of low and high are relatively close when compared to soma.

Guild wars won't work until multis have been removed from the equation. What's the point in trying when you know 1 person on the other side can literally kill your entire guild solo. The only way this would work would be to balance the players on each team, by nerfing the higher lvls or buffing the lower ones. But no doubt people will bitch that they deserve to win because they've spent 10x the amount of time ingame. Even if it's not fun in the long run to dominate everyone.
