OK guys after almost 9 years of faithful service and abuse my PC finally died yesterday so I've ordered myself a new one for probably the next 9 years but I'm hoping to get some back for my old one which I built custom.

So should I break it for bits or sell the whole thing as spares or repair.

Its got.

Gigabyte 3d aurora case with decent case fans
Corsair hx620 PSU
MSI 750i sli motherboard (failed component)
E8400 CPU (and a spare e8600 CPU)
4gb corsair ddr2 800 ram
Thermalright ifx14 heatsink
Creative fx gamer soundcard
8800gt 512mb GPU
Zalman fan controller for all fans
500gb + 150gb sata2 hard-drives. ( will keep the 500gb one)

So sell or break, estimated price?

Cheers guys.

I agree tbh, You could break it for bits and get a little more than what you could get selling as a failed unit, but having a backup for the price of a motherboard bundle seems the best course of action to me too.
(Easier these days to buy m/b, cpu and memory as a set, save faffing about trying to match sockets and memory speeds, then you can always try selling the memory/cpu as they appear to not be dead).

overclockers

Got it from there. I'm abit out of touch so had to do my homework before. Didn't want to go for a ridiculous Intel system this time so I went for a decent bang for my buck setup.
